I have been looking for a good Windows file copier, and the only one that I can find on this site is FastCopy.

I have read reviews on other websites, and this software seems highly regarded. One of the negatives given however, is that it is not compatible with Windows 8.

How easy is it to rebrand the Ekiga-portable?

It looks like my place of work has recently blocked whatever site the portable installer is going to to download Google Chrome. After looking through these forums it seems like I should be able to get the installer from somewhere else and put it in the same directory as the GoogleChromePortable installer. However this doesn't seem to be working.

In a directory I have the following:

43.0.2357.130_chrome64_installer.exe
43.0.2357.130_chrome_installer.exe
GoogleChromePortable_43.0.2357.130_online.paf.exe

What am I doing wrong?

I asked the developer of qBittorrent about this, and he told me to come here instead.

I've been using the portable qBittorrent for 2 or 3 versions now, and in none of those versions has the Auto-Shutdown function worked for me. When I set the program to auto-close upon completion of the downloads, nothing happens. The same is true when I set it to shutdown the PC.

Is this something intentionally disabled in the PA version, or is it a bug?

Skype Portable leaving stuff behind in %USERPROFILE%\Tracing\WPPMedia and similar Registry entries

Win 8.1

Haven't used Skype for months
File dates match to last auto update
Just checked by starting & stopping Skype and seeing extra files and reg keys changing

To add to the fun Tracing is a system folder or similar.
Is it possible Win is creating the fluff in response to Skype rather than Skype itself creating the them?

In any event they shouldn't be there after a Skype Portable session on a random system.

I tried to update Skype, but it always says:
The installer was unable to download Skype. The installation of the portable app will be incomplete without it. Please try installing again. (ERROR: File not found (404))

Any help?

So first one excuse for any bad English .

Seeking an alternative to TeamViewer which is commercial free .

I run a business computer repair and have to get off and intrude on customer computers .

So I'm looking for a free alternative to commercial TeamViewer Portable is the best and when I can still set up a local drive so that I can use my software directly from the stick to the customer.

I hope someone can help me .

i currently make my own portable version of Rainmeter and so far everything works fine. The only Problem I have is when I build the launcher - EXE I only get 'RainmeterPortable.exe' and the second one 'SkinInstallerPortable.exe isn't created.

That's my 'Control' section in appinfo.ini:
Icons=2
Start=RainmeterPortable.exe
Start1=RainmeterPortable.exe
Name1=Rainmeter
Start2=SkinInstallerPortable.exe
Name2=SkinInstaller

In my launcher.ini I have only this in 'Launch'-Section:
