Hi, I've been using an installation of PortableApps, which is located on an External USB3 Hard Drive. This installation is a 'working installation', which I use to download and evaluate individual apps, with the intention of eventually placing a select subset of apps on a USB Flash Drive.

I also use this External USB3 Drive installation to run apps which I may use only occasionally, and thus prevent unnecessarily clogging up my Windows registry with local application installations.

Wow, not sure what happened here, but when I plugged my USB into another computer, I noticed I lost all my extensions in both Iron and Chromium. Yes, I know Chromium isn't supported here but Iron is and the same thing happened in both.

Bookmarks and password are still there but the extensions I installed have disappeared.

I noticed Opera and Firefox stayed intact, though. What's going on there?

Does it not save the profile locally on the USB?

Or did some fluke happen?

Change Firefox portable folder to .exe
How can i make changes to firefox portable folder. I want to run Firefoxportable.exe without giving him access to apps,data,others.

I want to run firefoxportable.exe only all the app,data,others must come inside firefoxportable.exe so, that i can hide the folders within the .exe
I only want firefoxportable.exe not firefoxportable folder as all other data can be access.

Example of the software avaialble in market ion bundler but there you cannot change icon or app details,
any expert plz help

As a part of updating our stats system to work with the new app directory page layouts, I noticed an error in calculations for the overall download numbers that resulted in millions of double counted downloads. I've fixed the math and removed the duplicates. I'm erring on the side of caution and throwing out numbers that appear to be due to hack/probe attempts as well. The numbers may change and possibly jump back up a bit as I continue my analysis. Apologies for any confusion resulting from this.

I switched from XP to win7 and everything was fine till I moved my search box into tab menu to make all other icons fit in the navigation bar. Not sure if it was the cause, but I lost all search engines and any ability to add or reset to default (greyed out). Someone suggested this fix in about:config browser.search.showOneOffButtons, but the line is not there. I tried placing the search box back into navigation bar - no icons; tried in FF61 on another thumb drive - works in both places. Safe mode restored all search engine icons as well.

First, that for an excellent work, but I have a suggestion that I believe will help everybody.

Please remove the annoying message that the application didn't shutdown correctly.

Indeed very annoying/stupid message that doesn't resolve anything and is very unproductive.

I'm using chrome portable on the laptop with a dual boot configuration and is trying to get it to work on both OSs, but I found that it 'resets' itself when I switch to either windows. Sync settings gone, extensions gone, only bookmarks and history remains.

Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

Hello, I work at a private company who has a pretty good IT controlled environment, and it will not let me download anything to my computer without passing it by them first, wich is ussually not a problem if it is worthy of there time to install for you. I am trying to bypass the pain of this be using portableapps to open the .exe file from USB to save everything on the USB file. Then i could just start a program from my USB.

Is this possible. I have not been successful yet.
