As I understand it, SHA256 is now being recommended as insecure by the US government (fails around 41% of the time in testing), and is presenting SHA384 as a minimum.

Full confusion in website? How to custom create a portable app? i came to the site for this?

my FeedReader portable seems not to work as it is not updating the feeds
even if I do it through the settings to update immediately.
I'm wondering if I get it from here as it is not on the apps page and I found there some 12 years old apps.
Is there any specific folder structure or specific folder name in the main directory which would give a hint?

If I have a Portable Apps installation with multiple portable apps where some are from the portable apps website and some are from other sites that offer apps in the portable apps format/structure. Is there a way to differentiate which apps are directly from the PA website vs another site? Is there anything within the folder structure of a portable app to tell me its official Portable Apps App? I want to remove any apps that are not from the Portable Apps website. TIA!

I am using KMeleon 76.5.5 on PortableApps 29.5.3 on Wine 9.0 for Debian 11.

I open it up and i just get a black screen. The menu is unresponsive and won't highlight anything. I can open preferences by hitting fn-f2 but it is another black screen.

Thunderbird 115 Portable is around, but with horrible changes in its interface.

I do not want to migrate from Thunderbird 102 Portable to the 115 version, but I keep getting very frequent pop-up messages requesting to upgrade it.

I already tried two procedures to prevent the pop-ups:

I renamed the updater.exe file
and created a policies.json at c:\ThunderbirdPortable\App\Thunderbird\distribution

When searching for new apps by Title or Category the Musescore App does NOT appear in the lists. However, I do have it installed on some of my portable drives and it has been updating somewhat recently. I can also find it on the website and can download it.

Is there some reason for omitting what I'm thinking is a normal and legitimate app from said lists?

Guys, could you optimize the process of downloading and installing updates? Your downloads and installations take several hours on my notebook or my work computer. This is completely unimaginable. Is it possible to somehow reduce this time by orders of magnitude, so that it doesn’t drag on for five or six hours, but within at least one hour?
