Going to portableapps.com site I see the "standard" cookie confirmation request. If I choose Manage options, I can "somehow" (one or two checkboxes per option without explanation) edit my choices and I should confirm it somehow. But there are three ovals (micro-buttons) without any text only! White one, black and green. How the user should to know (without studying HTML source), what to choose?
BTW, I didn't find any contact / FAQ / forum ... about the portableapps.com site...
When an update is performed, will portableapps re-enable "Clear History"? I just opened Librewolf to a blank session.
I read the disclaimer in the settings. I've been keenly aware that I must be sure to disable "Clear History" to maintain my session and history. We can see that I have "Remember Browsing and Download History" enabled. But now, 'Clear History when Librewolf closes" is selected. Why would I have both selected?
Not sure, but I also "believe" that I created the related about:config commands. If I did, they are no longer in effect.
After an update, the settings were altered. I think the database cloud backup I have was made before the update. How do I import?
If not, I have a older non-portableapps version. Can I Import a file from there. If so, where do I put it?
Hey guys, I just did it: I finished the tests a few hours ago. I managed to make a portable version of Opera Developer (the missing piece) based on the PortableApps.com Opera GX as a template. As a portable app enthusiast and Developer version fan, it felt like completing a crucial quest! Please, John, this is not a self-promotion - this is a try to cover a long-time need. I made it for my personal use.
Chrome Beta install no menu link created, I wonder if the menu link for the non-Beta Chrome which was installed previously was mistakenly see as the Beta. Or it could be the install script needs a fix.
Hi everybody, I've been using portable apps for many years but with Total Commander I really am annoyed by that startup message that the app did not close properly last time.
I understand why the message appears and that the app or windows simply crashed and it did not shutdown correctly, but it absolutely make no difference if I click OK or Cancel as the app simply starts anyway.
So I would like to ask if there is anyway how to disable this message pernamently? I simply don't want to see it ever again even if the app crashes.
Profiles in C:\Users ? It's silly... this is not really portable! Make something really portable, please!
Or better, take a look at Floorp... a fork of FF but far superior.
Here: https://portableapps.com/development is invalid link to 'PortableApps.com Application Template 3.8 (Download)' which is set to:
https://downloads.sourceforge.net/portableapps/PortableApps.com_Application_Template_3.78.zip
but correct link is:
https://downloads.sourceforge.net/portableapps/PortableApps.com_Application_Template_3.8.zip

Hey
Sorry if this is a repost.
What's the best way to register a portable app lets say Firefox on Windows 11 as a Standard browser?
Update: When making FF as a Standard browser in the app itself I am able to add it in the win 11 standard apps panel.
Unfortunately it opens now with the clean default FF profile. Any solutions for that?
