General discussions of portable apps and news.
Thank you for the awesomeness
I generally access the website using IE. I used Chrome Portable today and when the page was half loaded I got diverted to a new page without a URL that stated that a Norton/Symantec chrome-extension was blocking access because this is a known fraudulent site. I have sent an email to an address I found on the Symantec site, but it may not be the right one.
I tried the page in IE with no problem.
This may be the extension that pulled the trigger:
Norton Identity Protection 2012.5.4.6
Symantec Corporation
Here's the text of the page:

Hello, my Name is Crusisx and I would love to learn how I can make a portable app with PortableApps. I want to learn what will be needed in order to make a successful portable app, what programs do you recommend for building the portable app? What is the basic breakdoawn of everything i need to do step by step in order. If someone can give a in depth explanation so a newbie like me can comprehend everything I will gladly appreciate it.
I would like to keep it "open" without having it "collapse" after choosing an App., and as I recall, it can be done with the addition of certain words in a P/A file. Does anyone remember this detail?
I find it annoying that the PortableApp launcher is auto-hiding in the taskbar all the time. Is there a way to avoid that?
I want to launch RocketDock automatically after I insert my USB drive.
I have an autorun.inf file which I use to designate an icon for my drive. Although I have tried using OPEN and ACTION to list RocketDock in the Autoplay menu, the menu remains unchanged.
Portable Startup Utility will launch RocketDock, but I still have to launch Portable Startup Utility.
There must be some way to accomplish this simple result, but what is it?
Hi, excuse me first for my request but it's for an important cause.

I have read all of the past threads concerning Evernote portable. I don't see anything recent though (that's a bad sign).
Just wondering and hoping, has there been any progress with EN to allow PA.c to develop a portable version in PA format?
I don't read anything hopeful in the EN forums about them releasing a portable version.
I just wanted to give a hello since I just signed up here for some GiMP Portable help and say thanks.
I work for a small office and among my tasks are photo shooting, graphic design and editing, and basically anything they ask me to do.. burn this, print that, scan this, order this, etc.
I'm just wondering, is VLC better for music? I seem to like that over Songbird.
