If both of the programs were free or priced the same, which one would you rather get?
Some extensions of my Firefox Portable generate on itself some output or store files on disc, i.e.: InfoListener, Scrapbook.
They have appropriate configuration settings in order to determine where the files are to be stored.
These settings should work on each host PC.
While editing the setting with about:config one can enter absolute path.
How the relative path should look ?

I tried to make WebcamMax portable by extracting the .exe with the UnivExtractor but when I run the program, it returns an error: "Unable to locate component" - "This application has failed to start because sqlite3.dll was not found. Re-instaling the application may fix this problem". Can anybody help me make this application portable so I can use it at work? The application can be found here: http://files.filefront.com/WebcamMax4250+MLexe/;12987241;/fileinfo.html
Thank you.
Is there a list of portable app launchers somewhere? I have searched the forum for various launchers and found a few but I think it would be great if there was a post that contained a list of all available launchers, versions, authors and a download link. Similar to the list found for Test Releases.
Is there a portable app that will convert music formats or change the bit rate?
I know that a portable .Net Framework is/would be illegal, however does anyone know of an alternative to .Net Framework v2.0 I have an application that I need to try to run, but it requires .Net Framework v2.0. The problem is that the hotel management software my hotel uses is completely incompatible with .Net Framework v2.0. It does , however require .Net Framework v1.1 to run, so that is installed on the system. It locks up hard with v2.0 on the system. The app is a portable app to make the ribbon in Office 2007 look like 2003.
FreeCommander has released a PortableApps.com format package of their app here:
http://www.freecommander.com/fc_u3_en.htm
It's a good app, but I heard in the channel that it's not allowed as FreeCommander isn't open-source. Can someone verify? And if it isn't allowed what gets done about it?
