WinPE2.0 - Menu

Submitted by Crash on April 11, 2007 - 11:25am

If I plug the USB device into windows all works well.

What I would like to do is boot into WINPE2.0 and then launch the app menu.

When I try to run PortableAppsMenu.exe I get the following error
"Error reading Trayiconmenu.Visable. Cannot create shell notification icon"

If I manually launch the apps from their folders (such as Firefox) they work fine.

Would really like to use that great menu if possible.

Thanks

Crash

Will this work? Please take a look. this could save me a lot of trouble.

Hi,

First of all this is a great app.

Long story short. We have our database and we have a sql server installed on the computer.

Now i was just wonder...we sometimes give out demos of our database that we have on a cd and the users must install sql on their computer to view our demo, other wise they can not use our demo (our demo is a website and our database for those with no internet access).

Would it be possible in any way to have a sql server and our demo in a portable USB stick?

Dear Friends,
I'm a new portable apps user. I've installed some portable apps from other vendors. Some of the directories in portable apps directory contains more than one .exe files. One of them is the program it self the others are helping programs but all the exe's appears in the srat menu of portable apps.
Is there way to select or deselect the items in start menu.

Mind Mapping software

Some time ago someone asked about Mind Mapping software for Portable Apps. Apologies for not continuing the thread, but I couldn't find it!
Well, I have been using Personal Brain for some years and today successfully installed onto my usb stick and ran it on my thoroughly locked down company PC. I honestly don't know if it qualifies as a Portable App or as a "just works", but it seems to do the biz. It launches from the PAM and allows me to choose where to keep its files.
