My LA Teacher asked me about this, and I can't seem to find one after finding a great one on PortableFreeware.com... apparently I was hallucinating...
Does anyone know of a good school library management program, that's free? I can't seem to find one anywhere!

Well first off, I'd like to say PortableApps.com has been one of the best and most useful websites I've ever seen. So I've decided to bring up some ideas to what PortableApps.com could do in the future:

--Applications Page: Scrolling down is lame. Why not have a little tab on top that has most popular apps and then another tab that shows all apps (and soon a Freeware tab, I know that's happening soon). People can just take a look at the most popular apps and see what everyone is in on. (of course, Firefox Portble would be on top

So, I was telling my wife how great it would be to build a second PC, five years after building the last one, to run Windows 7. I thought she'd tell me that XP is fine and that we don't need to throw money at a new PC, but she told me to draw up an estimate. I did, and here it is:

Tower alone: $566.92
Tower plus Win7 Home Premium OEM: $676.91
Tower plus Win7 Ultimate OEM: $756.91

physical digital weight

So I got to wondering the other day about something, if data has physical weight. I know it sounds funny but think of this scenario:

You by a brand new 2GB flash drive.

You take out the flash drive and weigh it on a scale precise to the 500th decimal place (it measures in grams).

You download some portable apps and fill up your flash drive to capacity.

You weigh it again on the same scale.

[Forum suggestion] Forum select module

I've just joined another Drupal forum, and I think that they have a module that might be of benefit to people here. It's called "Forum select" and it allows each user to show or hide each forum. Not sure if it takes them out of the tracker ("Recent posts"), I'll have to get back to ya on that one. I would think so, though.

For example, I never use Thunderbird, and that would be one topic I'd hide.
