What browser?

Question to the public:
Firefox, Iron, or Opera in Portable form?
[Edit]
That's what I get for posting a 1 word post. Blum
My requirements:

  • Really, really, fast (over time, unlike firefox) on a 9mb/s flash drive
  • Customizable
  • Fun/Slick default interface, I don't want to mess with themes
  • Lots of inter-browser capability so I can test it fairly well
So far I'm leaning towards Opera's default customizability (what a word) and slickness (and speed), but Iron (as in the privacy version of Chrome) is also a very tantalizing choice.

I'm a visionary

And I have a vision

I envision an awesome webtop by PA

It shall be called the PortableApps.com Online Webtop or PAOW (pronounced POW!)

It will include everything from Abiword to Xenon File manager (it would be used online)

My vision will look something like this:

Check disk...

Every time I put my memory stick into the computer, it starts the check disk thing, saying i did not remove it properly...

But, I ALWAYS make a point of safely removing it.

It always tells of fixed issues and how files are put into a folder called 'Found' which, ironically cannot be found, because it doesn't exist.

I have tried both removal methods to no avail:

-left click of safely remove icon in tray.
-right click of safely remove icon in tray. (i.e. the same method the menu uses)

With both methods I get the same result.

I haven't been here for a while (though it feels like I was only gone for 11 months and 3 weeks), so I've lost my really cool ability to answer stuff in a flash. I finally got my new flash drive (Cruzer Titanium 16gb) and I really wanted to make a RocketDock/Menu solution. I would launch RocketDock and if I needed the menu (it gets complicated when there are so many unorganizable apps), I would run that as well from RocketDock. But sometimes if I want to do some lightweight stuff, and I don't have much time, I want to start something lightweight, say ASuite.

Open Source Alternatives
Find open source software alternatives to well-known commercial software

Many users request commercial and closed-source software unaware that open-source alternatives exist. Thoughtlessly, they expect miracles or developers to break the law.

OSAlt.com might help members find alternatives that can suit their individual needs, and then post an earnest request for the OSS alternative to be developed into the PA.c format.

I was doing a DNS reverse IP lookup (to test out a new service I found) and apparently, money.msn.com and tctshare.com, as well as a couple of other sites, have the same server as PortableApps.com. When I went onto tctshare.com, it apparently had a near exact duplicate of PortableApps.com.
Any insight? Shock
