Alternatives [for mobile devices ?]

Submitted by svenhakonsson on September 3, 2008 - 8:06pm

Hi. I realized that Portable Apps won't work on the new PDA I plan to get. However, I still have need of similar programs to use for Windows Mobile 6. I was wondering if you had a list of recommended programs to substitute Portable Apps. What I really need is a basic text editor for web-creation on the go. By the way, It is listed that Apps can be stored on an iPod...can they also be run via iPod touch?

Voip Softphone for Windows Mobile 6

Submitted by zxt on September 2, 2008 - 10:42pm

Anyone got an idea where I can get one? I don't want Skype because I already have an account with Onesuite.com which has great service and can be configured with most softphones like Xlite, Zoiper, Portsip, SJphone, etc.

Thanks much.

Track ID Text on Music CDs

Submitted by J Neutron on September 1, 2008 - 4:53pm

My wife (along with several others) did some public service announcements for a radio station and I got asked to make copies of the "master" CD.

So, I took the raw tracks, cleaned up the lead-in and lead-out for each track, equalized volume, etc.

Next step is to write the clean tracks to a music CD and make copies for all six participants. None of them are very computer-literate. I can't give them a CD of MP3s because it has to play on just about any CD system.

What Webhost do you recommend?

  • I got banned from 000webhost for not uploading anything for almost a week.
  • 0fees.net was given a bad review by WOT.
  • comphost.info was just horrible, I can name 50 reasons.

Now I can't find any other good web server.

Could somebody recommend me a good webserver that...

  1. Allows me to have at least 100mb of storage
  2. Email accounts would be wonderful but if the server doesn't have it I wouldn't mind.
  3. No ADS, banners, or pop-ups.
  4. Domain name with gluxon in it.
  5. ftp accounts.
