Cannot delete some files on my Portable Apps USB.

Submitted by Anthony A on September 12, 2011 - 11:21am

My Opera folder on my Portable Apps USB seems to have become corrupted. When I open it the file structure is all messed up and the files names are a bunch of symbols and characters. All my other files and folders on the drive are fine and they run fine, it's just Opera that's messed up. It's not malware, I ran several scans on it.

The problem is I can't delete the Opera folder. I get a message about not recognizing the file structure or location doesn't exist. How can I delete the folder?

Relative path in mimetypes.rdf

Submitted by mrcitizen on September 8, 2011 - 5:54pm

Hi There,
I have a mobile firefox on a USB style token and would like to invoke a virtualized adobe reader (instead of the default Adobe Reader) on the token when a PDF file is rendered from the browser. It works fine when I have the absolute path in mimetypes.rdf, however the drive mapping can change depending upon the availablity of drives (forexample, if d: is already used). Is there a way to use realtive path in mimtypes.rdf? I would like to do something

<?xml version="1.0"??>

[Suggestion] Should check if already installed before "Get More Apps"

if already installed, then make the checkbox grey and uncheckable.

Should check if already installed on the directory before "Get More Apps":

if already installed, then make the checkbox grey and uncheckable. (Save internet flows and time)
if already installed but not "up to date", then make the checkbox checked by default and show different version in the column (maybe add in the future?)

Thanks,

virus detected in many apps !?

Submitted by sdrkyj on September 5, 2011 - 11:36pm

I donwloaded many apps from this site. I installed Rising anti virus software. it detected lots of virus, trojan, worms etc. I don't remember what it detected. But are the apps on the site safe? It is said that more than 90% of Android apps aren't safe. Or maybe the technology used for making apps portable is like in the crack ware, which is against by anti virus software for anti-pirated?
