ok so i know its been asked before
1. can we use the portable apps logo on a cd of the portable apps suite
2. can we redistribute the portable apps on a cd for profit (me thinks not but asking any way)
3. is there a list of people already doing this?

I have been searching, and I see a lot of fake sites and stuff. But could some one verify me if there is or is not a portable version of Avira or avg? Or anything better then clamwin?

just a suggestion could u make a "full" suite including all software that is "released" rather than the core light and normal add another one called full?

also a wiki for support may be a good thing to look at...... stops people asking silly questions .... (yeah right)

As many of you may have seen when you recently updated your virus scanner, many PortableApps.com launchers are being incorrectly identified as having the Trojan.Win32.Pakes.lth trojan. This is known as a "false positive", meaning that the launcher has been falsely identified as a virus. This is currently being identified in all virus scanners which use the Kaspersky definition. If there are others, please leave a comment.

I've been using portableapps for a long time now but today my Kaspersky sounded off that my portable firefox 3.0.4 had a trojan (trojan.win32.pakes.lth). Seemed that several paf.exe files were affected and new downloads from portableapps alarmed. I don't know if its a false positive but please let me know if anyone else has seen anything like this. I am just wondering what people think the future of portable apps is. Just on some of the research I have done, it seems the industry is fully pursuing web apps as the platform of the future, but I think portable apps have many advantages (like with web apps, you can access them anywhere, but you can also do things like read and write to/from the local hard drive, which you cant do with web apps).

How come folders on the main forum index don't light up when there are new posts?

Related issue: Usually there's "x new" under the post count in the case of new posts to a forum, but a lot of times, for some inexplicable reason, it doesn't say "x new" even when there are new posts? So that combined with the forum folders not lighting up makes it difficult to determine when something has been posted...

basically made it look nicer and updated it for useability with PAM 1.1 instead of beta 2
