Portable Apps Folder is empty, and so is the Documents folder!

Submitted by thraton on September 2, 2007 - 2:48pm

I popped in my flash drive after not messing with it in a while, i usually use my other one, and for some reason the portable apps suite wont start up so i went into the directory folder but its empty and so is the document folder, if i click on properties it shows it as being 0 kb, while if i do the properties of the USB its the same size as it was before. I am able to see hidden folders as well as system ones but the folders remain empty. I have no clue as what to do now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Something Wierd With Drupal

Submitted by dlittl13 on September 1, 2007 - 6:37pm

Hi Guys

Ive just noticed that theres seems to be something up with Drupal's timestamps here. If you look at the times in the posts on the thread below:

https://portableapps.com/node/4779

You'll see that they go from January 18th 07 to August 31st 07 and back to February 9th 07. Since timestamps are normally derived from the environment (server/OS) that the App/Site is running on am guessing that there must be something wrong server side or is there a glitch in drupal I'm not aware of? Has anyone else spotted this yet?

linux use

Just a general question which I am sure has been raised before. one of the main reasons I like the portable appliances so much is the fact that I can continue to use the same applications that I use at home on my linux box while at work and forced to use windows. the drawback being mainly, firefox, the data I collect on my usb drive such as fav's/contacts in thunderbird etc, cant be tranfered to my linux machine, or can they be. to be able to run on both OS's would be best but just to be able to move favs from thunderbird would be useful
