Here at work we go through a proxy as such I get a error:
Proxy server is refusing connections.
Is there a way around this?
What do I need?

Is it worth creating a structure in the forums that mimics the structure you have set up in the "Applications" area of the web site.
This means that people can post (and find) posts related to the revelant type of software they are looking for?

I use this tool when performing maintenence on my dad's computer. (He's a DBA, but just hates Windows, so I'm his "admin assistant" lol. He needs his comuter to dail into work.) Usually, when I'm running maintenence, I'm tinkering with my own, while anti-virus, -malware, -spyware, and defrag etc. (in succession!) are running on his. Problem is, he has a security screensaver going, and I can't be bothered to remember the password. !!! So I just run this little proggie till I'm done:

I need a tunnel to do some basic things from my work network (access my personal email) and I've been running HTTP-Tunnel Client from my flash drive. It's been working well and I've been pleased with the results. Is anyone else in this situation and have other programs worked for them?

but I am not sure where to get this older version. The link to the company website that makes it only has the updated version (which is not recommended by PortableFreeware.com because it is not truly portable)

I have a suggestion for a portable OS, has anyone ever played around With Damn Small Linux? it's also know as DSL and it can run entirly on a 64MB TD... just a suggestion...

Portable apps work so well, it makes me wonder why you would install the full version on your main PC instead of the portable. What are the pro/cons?

8) Check it out: Huge software suite of over (purportedly, didna bother to count ) one hundred apps. Thing is though: 'bout 25% of the apps are in Italian, though I suppose you could hunt down language packs from the homepages of each app respectively. Another downside: Although the hybrid Pstart-like/Win98 Start Menu-clone is actually pretty nice, if a tad lacking in the looks department, it's all a mishmash of English and Italian. And, you can only get it from Download.com at the moment; the homepage website does not seem to have a download.

I'm posting my search instead of individual links so you can choose which suite you want, though personally, i went for Gold 8)
