Portable App standard suite 1.0.exe

Thunderbird link in menu does not open thunderbird.

Tried it on 2 desktops and on a usb will not load. Reinstalled Thunderbird via add new app to get the link to find thunderbird.

With this method you can replace your U3 Launcher with the Portable Apps Suite (or any program for that matter).

Using the LPInstaller with a custom iso isn"t new. However, the way I've implemented it is.

Don't get me wrong, PortableApps is amazing-- just what I have been looking for. All of the softwares that come with it I use on a daily basis. (Besides maybe winMd5Sum lol) But I noticed that portable apps took the name of my drive, changing it to "PortableApps" instead of "DDISK" and then changed the icon to the PortableApps logo. Is there any way to change it back?

Problems:

1. Fire Fox won't launch
2. Thunderbird won't launch
3. Clam antivirus will not connect to get virus defs.

All my other Portable Apps. will launch correctly.

I have downloaded and installed each of the problem apps. several times. The same problems continue.

I use Portable Apps Base, and a PNY, 1 GB thumb drive.

Any ideas? I am frustrated.

Would it be possible to ditch the custom path options in the INIs? Right now PAF launchers are too complicated with all the app-specific folder paths read from the INI, making the launcher very hard to templatize in the same fashion as the installer currently is.

Since it seems nobody uses the custom paths anymore (not even me, as OCD as I am when it comes to stuff like that...) and using an INI at all breaks DefaultData thanks to the feature (meaning DefaultData gets disabled even if all I want to do is turn off the splash!), wouldn't it make sense to just remove it...?

So i downloaded the suite but i can`t install because i get a message that the .exe file is not supported, i dunno what`s wrong help please!. I have submited a screenshot of the message i get:

I have the Base Edition of the Portable Apps Suite installed(with Firefox and VLC Media Player), and every time I press those icons, nothing happens. I believe they worked before as well, but they aren't now. Is there any reason for this?

What is the purpose of this installer definition, and what do I set it to if the app in question doesn't use plugins?

I don't need it, but it would be a possible way of spreading the word about PortableApps.com. This is small enough that you could e-mail it to a friend or if the license permits, post it on your webpage or blog. Also would make downloading and installing easy for a beginner.

I just discovered this awesome project that is PortableApps, and I immediately installed it on my HDD. All apps works (Rock'n Roll!), but just one thing to fix is reminding: my autorun.

Effectively, it doesn't launches the menu. The icon and the name of the device are successfully changed, but it doesn't launches what we want.

Does anybody had this problem already and know how to fix it?
