Hello,

I have a problem using PAM 1.1 beta release..
The Menu is not clickable. So I cannot
open any programs nor the options etc.
I can also not close the program.
All 'mouse over' effects are working,
the move cursor over the logo, e.g.
Sometimes when I just plugged my Stick in it works,
but mostly only for the first fadein/out of the menu.
Then it's not clickable again.

Would it be possible to make the Menu have the option to not vanish on an app's selection? Some times - most times - it is very useful to be able to open apps in quick succession and not trek to the world's (bottom right) end to find a menu that could be more easily positioned and accessed to suit the user.

I couldn't find a response to the last person who asked this about 5-6 months ago. Is it likely or even possible?

so i hear that PAM beta 5 is out and that it supports .png files. well me and neorame were talking about getting the digital glass(alpha transparancy) that windows vista aero glass pulls off. apparently this can be pulled of with a .png file like the pam supports, unfortunately as you will see here, the PAM supports .png's without alpha tranparency making it imposable to pull of vista's aero glass.

i request that one of the improvements that we make to beta 5 is the support of alpha transparency.

Is there anyway to use a keyboard shortcut to open the PAM just like the
'start' button on a standard keyboard opens the Windows Menu?

Would be very handy?

I use a Thumb Drive with Portable Apps installed on it with PortableMenu. On my wife's computer and my work computer, it works fine. My son has a 3-year old 17" compaq R3000 laptop. On this laptop the PortableApps menu is distorted and I cannot make out the apps on the bottom of the screen. The only thing that is different is the screen resolution -- 1680 by 1050 pixels. How can this be resolved?

I didn't knew exactly where to post this, request or PAM.

Maybe it's an idea to make it possible, that if you run StartPortableApps, or open the Removable Drive, that you need to fill in a password to access it.
A password wich you can fill in at the Options Menu.

May i ask that: can PAM come with a RecycleBin?

In my notice that, when we are deleting files in USB flash drive and USB hard drive, they(the files) will get deleted straight off(no turning back)! Most of the time users will accidentally miss their files!

Or is there a similar functions open source application that could be intergrate in to PAM menu user-friendly!

with this kind of functions, i hope, we could prevents the important files from accidential-deletion!

I believe that PortableApps and UBCD4Win are two of the most phenomenal projects extant. Their combined powers are nearly beyond those of mortal men!

I do, however, have an issue with the PortableApps Menu running on UBCD4Win on USB. When I start PAM the menu appears as it should. When I open or close a window in Geoshell and then try to invoke PAM again it flashes for a fraction of a second and then vanishes. Even if I kill the task and restart it, the behaviour does not change.

Can anybody please tell me how to fix the problem?

Hi,

is there a way to hide exe files from portable apps menu? I have many exe files in the PortableApps Folder but only a few should be shown in the Menu.
