Sub-Folders
I was wondering if there was a way to create subfolders in the menu just like there are in the Windows start menu--so I could have a pop-out folder of "Internet" with Gaim and Firefox for example. Thanks

Some public PCs don't allow access to the system tray. Having the Portable Apps Menu minimise to the taskbar or use a windowshade mode when a program is selected would be really useful.
I'm experiencing the following, rather obscure behaviour and was wondering whether anyone out there could lend a kindly hand. This is the same for other progs but for explanation's sake I shall refer to my portable version of opera. The following is what happens in a series of scenarios:
Maybe this has been addressed elsewhere, and if so I apologize ahead of time. I've looked but haven't seen it anywhere, though I may be overlooking it.
Hello everybody. These day, I'm working on PAM to integrate it in my launcher (ASuite) as new menu and I conceived to add png support. Therefore I'm looking for a component to read png files.
I found this component: ImageFileLib ( https://sourceforge.net/projects/imagefilelib/ ), released under no license (public domain?). I tried to convert a png to bmp and load it in a TImage component. It seem works fine.
I used this simple code (in form's event create):
procedure TForm1.FormCreate(Sender: TObject); var PNG :TPNGGraphic; BMP :TBitmap; begin BMP :=TBitmap.Create;
HI there
i'm comletely happy with this great tool, but on tiny littly thing.
I made two new folders in the PortablsApps Directory, one for portable Putty and one for the Portable version of Trillian
They both work fine, but only if i start them with the .exe file from their directory.
When i start them from the menue they start too, but it seems as they dont start completely. Putty for example does not show the saved connections when started from the menue and trillian does not start all plugins, when started from the menue.
in the menu of PAM, there is a button to close the menu progam, I wish this button can eject the disk in the same time, just like the U3 menu. Although i know that i can eject the disk without using the safe mode, but it can be better for user.
thanks .
}:) Let me start by stating that I have searched the entire forums site for the answer to my question before posting it here...
I really love the PAM launcher, but wondered now that there are at least two applications as of this date (ClamWin and Audacity) that have 'updates'...
After running OpenOffice in the Suite, It gives me a file called OpenOffice.exe
I would like to use that file in the menu in place of the OpenOffice.org Write, Calc, Math etc. I prefer to have the main page come up and go from there as to have to choose write, math, calc etc.
Can anyone guide me as to how to do this.
Thanks
Don

Hello,
I'm trying to use the Portable Apps at work on a windows 2000 pro system, Pentium 4 with 500mb ram.
I work for a very large airline in Canada and all our computers are maintained by IBM with the same hardware and setup.
I get the following message in a dos window when trying to start the 1.0.1 patch of Portable Apps, "program to big to fit into memory"
I'm running it off an 8GB flash drive, the computers have no problem with that device.
I've tried Portable Apps on 12 different computers now and all give the same error message.
