Hope you'll like them.
*The PAM themes are based on the ones for XP

I have been playing around with a Star Trek like theme. I am not going to post the entire theme as I have used some borrowed elements. I also had to lighten up the "official" colors for usability.

When I try to run the menu from a write protected device I get lots of error messages.
Checking with ProcessMmonitor I see that it is trying to create files in the portable apps folders.
Is it possible to stop this?
Chris
I use the memory stick, becouse I do travel very often and have to use the public internet points and internet in hotels. These computers are most of the time set in a way that the Port.Apps.Menu does not start. With explorer.exe it is possible to go to the drive-letter of the stick and start anyway.
Is there a way to start explorer.exe also when the 'my computer'icon is not there?
Like a key-combination or so.
Sometimes even the Windows startmenu is not there. So the possebilety to start explorer.exe in the run menu is also not possible.
I'm having a problem with PAM working on Win2k SP3. I don't have the option of installing SP4 due to other software restrictions. Is this a known problem or is it just me? The error says the actual PAM executable has generated errors and a log will be log will be created. The log isn't created, at least I can't find it in any of the usual locations.
Help would be appreciated. BTW I'm really pleased with this program and the portable apps concept. Its a solution that I've been looking for solution like this for years, and U3 just doesn't cut it.
edit:
Just a suggestion. Would it be possible to have the contents of the drive copied into ram upon inserting the drive? It could be done via ramdrive, but im thinking that any changes will still need to be written to the drive before unmounting. Has anyone discussed this possiblilty? It would make alot of sense if it could be done as it would dramatically increase access times and decrease flash writes.
Upon mounting you could offer an option to mount the drive normally, or mount into system memory so it would still run fine on systems with insufficient memory.
Have you considered using UHARC instead of 7zip? It compresses better
Download all UHARC versions
What's new in version 0.6a
- option to create self-extracting archives (SFX / Win32 only)
- using again PMODE/W DOS Extender (does not need external program)
Note: UHARC 0.6a archives are compatible with v0.6 archives but
NOT compatible with any previous version (version number
I'm having a problem where all my program icons display the generic windows icon. Folder icons on the right are all working however.

These are all standard portable apps found on this site; nothing I converted, or hacked, or anything. I'm having the problem both with the most recent standard install of PAM, and with the new beta from January.
This is a Sandisk Cruzer Titanium 2GB, with U3 uninstalled.
