Request Apps

Ok so I know not many people need this app but I think it would be great to have a program that when you click on it hibernates your computer. I know you can just do the shortcut thing but this is intended for people whos admin has blocked the hibernation feature.

I was thinking about font management software.

I'd like to see a FontHit clone, FontHit was great font management software, it was free, however there's two major issues for PA, firstly it's not open source, and secondly it's abandonware (the site is no more).

Can you add ITunes to the collections. Or at least a optional download?

Flight Gear is a very real and lifelike simulator. It has great graphics, is 3d etc.
Flight Gear is open source and free and as far as I can tell no one has made a portable version.

World wind is basically an open source alternative to Google Earth. So for the very few of you who don't know what that is it's a program that allows you to see anywhere in the world in 3-D. This app is open - source and free.

For "portablizing" specific apps I use VMWare's ThinApp (formerly known as Thinstall). I created a clean Windows Installtion in a virtual machine and there I simply install an app before packaging it with Thinapp.

Till now I portablized apps like:
- Creative Suite 3
- Mindjet Mindmanager (uses complete .NET FW appendice)

I think everyone knows that the apps mentioned above are really complex scenarios.
And so my definitive suggestion for specific apps (respectively those more complex than a 10-File utility)is ThinApp. Give it a try.

Is there a newer version than

I guess like many users, I'd like a portable AutoCAD clone please.

Has anyone tried making A9CAD portable?

Or some other programme that can read/write DWG format.
