IBM Lotus Symphony
Can IBM's Lotus Symphony be released portably, or is it not open source? If it can be released, I vote to have it made portably.
Thanks.

Got a suggestion for an app that should be portable? Post it here.

I wonder is there any portable apps can read microsoft ebooks? could microsoft reader be made portable?
Hello :-),
Short Description:
Program: StarDict 3.0.1 beta
License: Open Source/GPL
Description: Babylon-like Dictionary shell (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StarDict).
Website: http://stardict.sourceforge.net/
Does anyone here use Snag It from Tech Smith? It's an app I absolutely cannot live without. It would be nice if there were a Portable Apps version of this software. I use PA on my work laptop, which I am not allowed to install anything on (strict company policy) and PA works great for me in this environment!
Thanks for listening!
This may sound like a silly suggestion, because just about every Windows PC has solitaire on it, but what about a portable solitaire game.
I am thinking about attempting make Big Solitaires 3D portable.
Name: Big Solitaires 3D (40+ Solitaire Games in 3D)
License: GPL
Website: http://sourceforge.net/projects/big3dsol
Registry: None that I can see.
Size: 4Mb
Dependencies: OpenGL, Win32 (MS Windows), GTK+, wxWidgets
I am pretty sure it either has an Open GL renderer or requires Open GL. Would that make it non portable?
You should add a portable wiki to your suite of applications.
For a list of already portable wikis:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_portable_software#Wikis
the tidlyWiki site didn't work with firefox so I would guess the same for their product.
WikiPad also looks promising - Windows and Linux supported apparently is portable ready...
Is there a stand alone portable task list manager application out there?
Many are mentioned, such as GSoft's, yet I haven't found a stand alone task manager.

Now heres a nice little app to have any one intrested in trying to get one to work for the Psion community
I was on sourceforge, and I came across an open source version of Yahtzee that looked interesting.
it's written in c++
From what I can see on their web site (and on sourceforge) , it looks like there was a portable edition made up for one of the older versions of Open Yahtzee, so it should be fairly portable as it is. But I think it would be nice to see a paf version of this too.
Does Winmail opener already qualify as a portable app? It can be found on this page:
http://www.eolsoft.com/download/
Winmail Opener is designed to open the notorious winmail.dat files from Outlook Express users, and it can save the text in rtf format. It also has a pane for attachments, if there were any in the message. The installer file is only 299KB.
