Special firefox [run from zip]

Submitted by DingleNutZ on June 28, 2009 - 6:20pm

Pogram: Firefox (pref. v3.0-3.1)

Manufacturers Website: Here (mozilla)

Instructions:
can someone please make a portable firefox that has the ability to run within a zip file.
i would really appreciate this.

Reason:
the reason for this is that our schools network admin has disabled all but a few executables from running and because i have encountered this problem before i know that executables can still be run from winzip or the windows compressed files utility because they show up as one of its child processes.

Ack:

Creation of Dropbox Portable

Submitted by adude159753 on June 26, 2009 - 9:13pm

I'm not sure if dropbox is an open source software and I'm not entirely sure if it has been requested as a portable app but I want to ask if anyone is working on this as a project or if anyone has considered it because I see that is is rather useful especially if you don't have dropbox installed on the computer and you need to access files stored there.
Like if you went to a friend's house and you were going to do you homework.

Link to download the installer for Dropbox is www.getdropbox.com.

Ant Movie Catalog

Submitted by 73h_p0W on June 26, 2009 - 10:09am

I would like to see this made portable. I think it's very useful for movie freaks, like me. Wink

I already used the program long time ago and remembered it right now in this moment, as a friend of mine gave me a DVD back, that I nearly had forgotten, that she had it!! Biggrin

Description:

Ant Movie Catalog is a free (really free, i.e. the source code is available) program made to manage your collection of movies on DVD, CD (VideoCD, DivX, ...) and tapes.

Toolkit for disemboweling PDFs

Have you ever received photos in a PDF? Or any other things inside one, which are impossible to use, because of the expensive proprietor application marketed by Adobe?

Actually there is a suite of free (as in beer) and free (as in permission) applications under the name of SomePDF which can do this job.

They can be installed to a Windows computer. But the directory structure will work in stand-alone mode too.
