The new release is not working as a result of the programs FreeDownloadManager folder as located within the App subfolder of the fdmPortable folder missing all its folders with that i mean the files that should be directly within the folder are there but all the folders that should be there and the files in those folders are missing after an instalation as compared to the previous release.

I need to make some fundamental changes to a PHP script on my website.
For this, I'd like to install XAMPP portable. However, I see that portable apps
is currently only offering the relatively old version 1.7 from 2018.
Version 8.2, released in November 2024, is already available.

Is there any chance that portable apps will offer this newer version soon?

I was installing some apps for the first time on a new computer, never had a problem before with portableapps.com on other computers, but now when supermium was being installed windows detected: Trojan:Win32/Vigorf.A on the supermium temporary directories that are made during the installation, hope this doesn't become recurrent since this and another application the utility whynotwin11 "updated" and was carrying a another Trojan, now there are several apps asking for update today, and that becomes suspicious.

r3dfox v146.0.0 - Firefox Translations add-on don't works.
(This add-on is broken also with Firefox Portable).

The 'Firefox Translations' add-on ver. 1.3.4 build id 20230720.091143 (September 7, 2024) don't works in r3dfox Portable.

I want to raise a concern and suggest an improvement regarding qBittorrent Portable:

When using the Search feature in qBittorrent Portable, the app tries to install Python on the host system.

This behavior breaks PortableApps’ own guidelines, because the app modifies the host system rather than being fully self-contained.

The downloaded copy of Opera GX is not valid and can not be installed. This could be due to an incomplete download or other network issue. Please try running the updater again when complete.

Either the upload to the server(s) failed, or the hash is incorrect.

I have already a non-portableapps Filezilla client installation on my Win10 system but want to switch to portable apps Filezilla Client.
After download and extraction of pa version I imported previous FZ settings (from existing FZ installation).
The only file import offered was "filezilla.xml"

It worked only partially..

The layout was adjusted to the old FZ.

But the site manager information (shown in leftmost toolbar symbol) was NOT imported.
Existing site list is empty

Whats wrong?

I just updated chrome (update from 2025-10-08) and now when I try to launch it it just wont open (nothing happens)

Is it just me or others having this issue?

What can I do? Can I roll back? I have passwords, extensiuons and multiple users so would rather not have to reinstall from scratch

Hello John, after upgrading chrome portable from 139.x to 140.x, all my extensions fail to load. I tried repairing it on the extension page but did not work. I tried reinstalling it and get the following error: Download error: Could not load javascript 'nscl/lib/browser-polyfill.js' for script. Any help is appreciated. I have downgraded back to 139.x for now and all the extensions loads properly.
