I ran into this problem and found nothing via search so I'm sharing the "fix".
If you pin putty portable to the start menu on windows 10, then use the "recent sessions" or "pinned sessions" that can cause this error if the saved session doesn't exist in the registry.
I originally thought it was a conflict when you have the non-portable version installed on your PC, but that's not correct. I uninstalled my local version and it had no impact.
Hi, recently I was trying Iron from portableapps, but I noticed it's only available 32 bit build. Can be added the 64 bit version?
Thank you very much to PA team and SRWare for this software.
It has been three, four or five updates that all my settings and torrents gone after the update! (Except this last time, the torrents remain)
I have a lot of customizations of locations to download files, tags, temporary, watching folders etc.
Any one with this issue too?
What I have to do to keep all my settings?
I've had Chrome crash a dew times lately. The chrome_debug.log had no information relating to the crash.
I ran across this help article, https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/6271282?sjid=1570637331475214..., "Chrome browser debug logs", with instructions to "Turn on logging" by adding a command line
When Telegram Desktop starts, it creates log_startX.txt file in ...\PortableApps\TelegramDesktopPortable\App\Telegram\ directory, where X is 0, 1, 2 etc. These files are not deleted after Telegram Desktop is closed.
Looks like the issue occurs since Telegram Desktop 4.9.1.
When I run Filezilla from Portable apps, I close it correctly. But even then I am not able to close the portable apps menu. By trying that, I am always told Filezilla still running, therefore portable apps can not be closed.
I have to reboot my computer (w10) to close all. Clearly, next time Filezilla reports it was noch closed correctly.
But I would like to close it, but not possible. Tried on 3 computers, all the same.
Count me among the very many longtime users -- quite easily now observed posting online -- who absolutely despise the new Opera One that it has morphed into. So I hope this is still possible . . . but I could not find an existing download link for the older versions at Portableapps. This had long been my favorite of the 5 browsers that I keep available for use. The new UI is hideous, and the browser is bloated with features I did not want and have no use for. Others have been advising me to just ditch it and move to Brave, Librewolf, or Mullvadbrowser.
After upgrading the Opera browser on Windows 7, there was a problem. The browser had many open pages, many bookmarks, saved credentials for many sites, customized workspaces and pinboards. All of this became inaccessible after today's Opera update. I now see links to Opera and Opera (Legacy Win7) in the portable application launcher. Opera doesn't launch (which is understandable). Opera (Legacy Win7) launches with the new blank interface, and everything I mentioned is gone. Is it possible to restore all the settings?
Hello,
I am using multiple instances of Google Chrome Portable and they are merging into a single icon on the taskbar.
I think it's likely because they share the same application ID. Windows groups applications with the same ID under a single taskbar icon to save space.
How can I run Multiple instances with each separate icon of Google Chrome?
I also have attached the screenshot image for easy to understand.

Thank you.
