I suppose this is a general question about the PortableApps launcher but specifically I am using qBitTorrent Portable.
I have a shortcut to the launcher on my desktop.
When I launch it for the first time, the app launches - no problem.
However if I minimize the app to the tray and later try to open it again using the shortcut, I receive the dreaded "another instance is already running" error message.
This is not helpful. I am not trying to run a new instance; I am trying to re-open the existing instance.
Latest PA version of SeaMonkey is not running when installing to a new dir (64 bit only install), or upgrading to only 64-bit on existing directory.
Throws "seamonley.exe could not be found" error (when executing from PA platform or from the SeaMonkeyPortable.exe file).
Failed on Windows 10 64 bit system when upgrading through the PA platform and when installing Seamonkey.paf standalone on Desktop.
Thanks!

And while I'm thinking about it, I'm having to run this browser in the 'administrator mode' otherwise I receive the prompt that 'my browser is managed by your organization'. Has any other google chrome portableapps user had this issue and if so is it possible to fix the issue ?
With last two updates portable Google Chrome started lagging.
Can't use it because of very slow work. App always hangs for some time.
Used portable Google Chrome for few years and never had such issue.
Tried clean setup of app but no luck.
Is it me or something broken in portable app?

It appears that there's no Skype v8.108.0.205, or if there was, Skype pulled it from their website.
I first tried downloading the latest Skype today (11/26/23), via the Platform updater. Error: "The downloaded copy of Skype via sPortabIe (https://go.skype.com/windows.desktop.download) is not valid and can not be installed.
After the last update, where the design changed in GoogleChromePortable, the browser stopped working and started writing this error.

John mentions that "Today's release of FileZilla Portable 3.66.1 makes use of the new PA.c Installer feature allowing the end user to select either 64-bit Only or DualMode with 64-bit and 32-bit support."
When I upgraded FileZilla to v3.66.1, I did not see that dialog box. So I tried uninstalling FileZilla and then reinstalling it. I still did not see that dialog box.

PAF package corrupt, not installable
I ran into this problem and found nothing via search so I'm sharing the "fix".
If you pin putty portable to the start menu on windows 10, then use the "recent sessions" or "pinned sessions" that can cause this error if the saved session doesn't exist in the registry.
I originally thought it was a conflict when you have the non-portable version installed on your PC, but that's not correct. I uninstalled my local version and it had no impact.
