I have portable gaim running and running well, but I cant seem to get smilies to work or to add new ones.
Is it possible to force the use of the local GTK+ installation? I have a newer version installed on my computer that Gaim does not yet support, and Portable Gaim still tries to use it despite having a local copy of a supported version present.
I think, you must encrypt all password stored in accounts.xml
Sorry about my best English
All my messages from my friends were Extremly Tiny. Please look into this if there no fix. I ask my friends if it was him and it's not.
Is there anyway to disable the Site Manager?
For some time I've been using Portable Gaim on my External HD as well as locally on my permanent desktop. I've never had any problems with it.
Today I downloaded the newest version, Portable Gaim 1.5 Beta 2. I tried both using WinRar to "Extract Here" as well as opening the zipped package in Winzip and copy-pasting as suggested on the support page (https://portableapps.com/support/portable_gaim#installing) to 'install' Portable Gaim to my local computer. I also tried copying it onto my External Hard Drive. I tried all these steps without having first copied my old profile in so that the above steps were more of a clean install (of course, the same problem also occurs if I do copy them).
I've noticed that Portable Gaim (PG) creates it's own profile entry for Portable Firefox (PFF). So all the settings and extensions I have setup on my install of PFF are not used or avaliable. Is there any way of pointing them to the same profile so I don't loose all my settings?
Thanks
Using PPF 1.5 and PG 1.5.0
I use portable firefox and I was told that for that app if I move the ini file to the portable firefox dirrectory from the portable firefox code dirrectory it whould load when I do not have access to the hardrive. Is that the same with portable gaim?
I'm just wondering why there's a need for a "portable" version of FileZilla. Filezilla is already pretty portable by itself since you can store the settings in an XML file. The only thing that isn't real portable is the ability to specify which directory to start in (since the drive letter might be different on each PC)... I'm perfectly happy with a regular version of FileZilla on my USB drive.
