Decided to post as I was unable to find a post or page with the proper information. If this has been answered elsewhere I'd much appreciate a link to that forum post or webpage.

We're currently in need of old chrome versions that still support Adobe Flash to provide management for servers and services. As such we're trying to do due diligence to prevent a possible compromise— we know it's best to to use the latest versions of software but in this case it is unavoidable.

Chrome User Data Security Password etc. within Windows Accounts

Submitted by jenar on March 27, 2021 - 12:31pm

Hi all,

Sorry for my bad Language, because english is Not my first. I did not find anything regarding my question, so i just ask here.

If i wanted to use Google Chrome on a work computer used by other collegues, do they have Access to my User Data (Google Account with password and Link Synchronisation) if some collegues have admin rights within windows? I think Even if i store Chrome Portable in the User Folder, the Admin will have Access to it and all Stored Informationen.

Maybe it is better to install chrome to the System to prevent sich Things?

The initial release of Google Chrome Dev 91.0.4455.2 has an installer that was accidentally signed with the wrong key. It was re-posted with the correct one soon after. The original post has an MD5 of a3100301b5517bdd304ab09f87b5624e and an SHA256 of d7ebb9f1cc08e74bb7c651a1ddb0face512ad5e71736be5ef40ced5bddf1ec6b. Other than the installer signature, both packages are identical, including the correct signature on the GoogleChromePortable.exe launcher. If you were automatically update to either the original package or the updated one via the PA.c Platform, you're fine.
