Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't see any way to search the forum to find previous posts.

When Google Chrome is pinned to the taskbar why does it create a second taskbar icon when opened? Is there any way to prevent this happening? I tried using "Pin to taskbar" via the PortableApps Platform but it didn't work.

I'm not sure exactly what precipitated this, but after years of successful usage I recently ran into a hard to resolve problem updating your portable Opera, in which it kept going in circles saying that it was updating, but always remained on the existing version. (I run my portable apps as individual standalones, rather than making use of your Launcher platform.) I tried all of the listed updating methods, up to and including attempts at installing the new version over top of the prior one, but no dice.

As it says in the title, your version 2.14.9 actually has 2.14.8 in the installer.

This is not the first time you have rolled out the wrong version. :-|

1.) The search for harmful software feature doesn't work I receive the following message.
**In Settings > Privacy & Security** (Heading in the category list on the left column of the pg.)

The problem is that on a particular host box HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome /v RestoreOnStartup is set to 0x04 which prevents restoration of previously open windows/tabs and that makes ChromePortable completely useless.

I tend to have like a dozen windows 5-6 tabs each and the very reason for taking the latest ChromePortable was to avoid that policy force fed to that box for the locally installed Chrome.

0x04 is "Open a specific page or set of pages" in On startup settings
0x01 is "Continue where you left off" == restore tabs and windows
