Is there any 1.x version of portable GIMP?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders

lists the path to where users store their windows shell folder data.(desktop, startmenu, my documents, application data, favourites, local settings, etc)

Gimp appears to have a home and desktop shortcut hardcoded to look to C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\ for the home icon, but shouldn't the "Home" icon be the windows equivalent "My Documents" and link to wherever that is in the registry key mentioned above?

I thought I'd share a quick fix I figured out, as it doesn't look like anyone else has come across this issue yet. I've been digging around for the last hour trying to figure out how to stop GIMP (running on a thumbdrive) from popping up multiple errors regarding a missing file:

Something about the component failing to initialize, I apologize for not copying it down exactly. The errors would pop up whenever I tried to edit any text in a dialog box ("New File" for example).

The file is specific to IBM/Lenovo (I'm on a T42 Thinkpad at work). Searching around, I found this link:

On launch from the Portable Apps Suite, Direct from a USB drive, or from my computer's hard drive - even after multiple restarts and reinstalls of the program. I continues to lock on extension_script_fu - any help would be much appreciated - here's a screenshot of it.

I've noticed popups on any computer that my portable apps suite is running on and haven't been able to find any discussion of that in the forums here. Is this something that I just have to deal with. None of the computers have experienced popup trouble before or continue to do so w/o my device plugged in.

I realize that another option is that the popups are coming from my device but not part of the portable apps suite.

Anyway, I ran a spyware detection on my device and it flagged the following file in the portable gimp folder. Is this a legitimate part of portable gimp or should I delete it?

During GIMP Portable 2.2.12 multilingual installation I've got a Warning message from my local system virus scanner "AntiVir" that downlad package "GIMP_Portable_2.2.12_multilingual.exe" contain following Trojaner -> TR/Dldr.VB.ags!!!

I deleted this file with AntiVir.

Next I started Gimp without trouble.
So I think and I hope that it works, but I could'nt say it definitely.

F-Secure has long since fixed the last, Avast-style problem; but this morning it went and "found" a virus in one of the GIMP .exe files:

J:\PORTABLEAPPS\GIMPPORTABLE\APP\GTK\BIN\GSPAWN-WIN32-HELPER.EXE.

 Action: The file was renamed.

If this file is the same one used in the non-Portable version of The GIMP, I'm sure it's already been reported...but if not, you'll want to pass word along to F-Secure.

The specific issue :

gimp-2.2.exe - Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point libintl_sprintf could not be located in the dynamic link library intl.dll

This comes up as soon as I try to run portable gimp, I get no other errors and nothing pops up on screen, not even the start up image.

I am running Windows XP and just downloaded the file today and installed it to the local hard drive.
