Portable App Development

Does anybody else see a potential benefit in maybe having a configurable option to allow Apps Menu-controlled installations to automatically delete the .paf.exe file after installation is completed? I find myself going back to do this invariably, as my flash drive is only 1gb and space is always at a premium given the amount of apps in my build...

Just curious if others see it this way too...

Can anybody writ a script that includes adding and removing this file.(http://www.mediafire.com/?4yymyrzrn2d) Just leave feilds, like name and that stuff unchanged, please

This is the simple process to make both Google Talk & Google Video Portable to run off a USB drive. I don't know if it will leave registry settings behind but it will work.

1. Download the latest copy of Google Talk and Video

2. Extract the download into a folder on your desktop (using 7-zip)

3. Rename the folder to whatever you want and then drag/drop into your PortableApps
Folder.

I've got the idea of personalizing the P-apps themes for a few friends of mine and handing out flash drive with the P-Apps themes loaded as gifts.
I'm having a great time making the backgrounds but I need to change the fonts and language at the top of the menu.
Where it says
"PortableApps.com
Your Digital life anywhere"
I'd like to change that or at least edit the Font so It blends with the theme better. I can't find a way to do this. I'm not much of a programmer so I'm hoping I won't have to dive into some Delphi code to change it. Can anyone help?

Can someone on the development team take a look at this issue. Screen shot can be found at:

It appears only when I use Portable App Menu on a higher than 1024 x 786 resolution computer. When I plug the USB drive into a 1024 x 786 set computer, it appears fine. Is the Menu a static bit map that doesn't draw to the appropriate size based on the resolution you have set?

Wondering if anyone has done this or would like to try. It is really a nice add on if you use skype. I imagine many of you are much more advanced in this topic then I am but I am willing to learn if someone wants to coach while I do the leg work.

It would be nice if you can add a shortcut to a download folder in the app launcher like like you do with the documents, music, picture and video folders. it is well known that people like to download lots of stuff on their portable drives to take home so it will be a very welcomed feature.

is it possible to prevent Portable Apps from running but just show the menu when you double click the exe again?
