Firefox Portable

I'm using version 3.0.16 and this morning it was fine but an hour later everything was gone. The box at the top asking if I want to save the passwords I remember comes up. But when I click "yes" nothing happens. Anybody know what happened? And how do I fix it? I just wish I'd written down some of the newer passwords! LOL!

i hate version 4 from ff, because mozila make a big step back(now is also IE9 better).

i have much problems with this version, the biggest two are, the "plugin container" and the process in TaskManager from firefox not down after closing ff4.
for the first problem have i change the "config" in firefox but the problem with not closed proces is wrong.

can i whitout problems downgrade PA ff4 to PA ff3.6?

Can it be possible in future to run
two different Firefox Portable at the same time?

They will be located in different folders
and will have different set of plugins.

FFX 4 had been running fine for weeks. Suddenly would not start, reporting a xulrunner version error. Following a hint in an old thread here, I edited application.ini to allow an earlier version. Seems to work fine now.

I'm sure I've had this before but can't recall the fix.
FF4 was working fine with various plugins.
I ran auto-update and FF4.01 restarted- to show no Flash etc.

Now I turn on about:config to show full URL (set plugin.expose_full_path to true), go to about:plugins and ALL plugins are on C drive, it's not picked up those on the portable drive.

This happened before after an update but can't recall how I fixed it.
I have already tried reinstalling FF4.01 over the top incase the updater was broken.
I have already deleted "pluginreg" in \PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\Data\profile.

Custome Settings & Addons Missing or Resetting between Computers.

Windows x64, Firefox 4.0.1
Over the weekend I added & deleted a few addons, customized my toolbars.
Closed normally, all is well.
Come to work, fire up FFP and all my changes are not there. All the 'old' addons I deleted are back, & none of the new addons or toolbar changes are there.
Kind of defeats the purpose of a portable app if it's not saving properly.

Firefox is not installed on either PC
I am the Admin of both PCs
Path on PC 1 is D:\FirefoxPortable

Another glitch I have found with Portable Firefox since switching to Firefox 4 is that when closing Portable Firefox, on any computer with Adobe reader installed, Adobe Reader opens with a blank page upon shutting down Firefox. Any Thoughts?

I upgraded my Firefox 3.6 portable to Firefox 4.0 and then 4.01. Unfortunately my Portable start-up screen still says version 3.6 when it starts, although 4.01 does start up and run. After it runs and I check "About Firefox" under help it shows the correct version. I thought this would correct itself when I went from 4.0 to 4.01 but it did not.

While I know this may be just a silly annoyance is there a way to fix it without losing my settings, bookmarks and add-on's?

I recently updated to FF4 portable, and I am experiencing an error every time I restart.
On each restart lately I always get the Recover from Crash screen.
I close out my tabs and always shutdown on a blank tab.
I only use the red x to end the program, and give it enough time to shutdown before trying to eject the drive. (I check it in task manager)
This has happened on XP as well as 7 based machines.

I would like to figure out the source of my issue, is there any more information I can provide or troubleshooting steps I should attempt?
