Replaced taskbar icon?

Submitted by FH on January 25, 2010 - 4:51am

Hi there,

i have a problem with the Windows 7 taskbar and Mozilla Firefox Portable. After i've tried the prism addon my FirefoxPortable got a new ugly icon. It's really annoying to have new cool themes in Firefox 3.6 but an ugly icon. Is it possible to replace?

What i've tried so far:
- Put an icon set to App\Firefox\chrome\icons\default folder
- Put an icon set toData\profile\chrome\icons\default folder
- Reinstalling firefox
- Clear icon cache (%userprofile%\AppData\Local\IconCache.db)

Do you have any ideas how I can fix the icon?

Changing user content?

I've been waiting for 3.6 for a good while because I do pixelart, I watch it on several sites and the blurred zoom is simply unacceptable for me.

3.6 is the first version in which you can disable the zoom filters when you zoom in, so that you can see the perfect squared pixel, but unlike friends with regular firefox I cant seem to find usercontent, how should I go about disabling bilinear filter from zoomed in images?

Very strange issue I'm having at home. I use Wiki on a Stick (aka StickWiki), a single XHTML file that contains a basic wiki (no history, single user) that I use for various purposes. My novel, but also a dining blog I'm trying to get off the ground, and miscellaneous stuff.

How to make sure that the portable firefox instance always uses the pdf viewer plugin within the portable app configuration?

Submitted by streamline on January 23, 2010 - 5:34pm

As I have been using and testing an app I am building for myself to make use of a instance of firefox portable, I noticed recently noticed that the Adobe PDF Plugin being used was that of whatever the local PC I was plugged into was using. I had thought since I provided the plugin and setup the portable firefox instance with a specific plugin for PDF, it would use the one I provided.

What is required in terms of files, configuration, etc for a portable firefox app to insure that it always uses the Adobe PDF plugin I want it to use?

Bookmarks gone! after install from 3.5.7 to 3.6

Submitted by thisisallen on January 23, 2010 - 4:33am

After upgrading Firefox Portable to 3.6 from your site (I previously had 3.5.7)I found that all my bookmarks are gone. I tried restoring with FEBE but when I choose the .json file I receive an error msg that it is not valid. I tried a backup from a different date but received the same error.
Any help would be appreciated.
