Firefox Portable

I've read the instructions for transferring FF settings to Portable FF. When I navigate to Firefox\Profiles I don't find \default.??? Do I simply copy the contents of my Firefox 2.0 profiles folder to the Portable Firefox profile folder? Thanks.

Firefox cannot locate the internet, and just times out...help, ive got version 1.5 and 2, dont know much about pc's, using off a Kingsston 1gb usb.

If I do ANY bookmark management, mozilla freezes while it writes to the USB drive. Is there some way to make this process faster (other than copying the directory locally, which kind of defeats the purpose)?

Hi, sorry i am not a tech person. I love portable apps.
I am using portable firefox. The latest RC3. Yesterday i took my USB home and got a strange message...
file corrupt firefox/data/profile/prefs/js

That should be backslashes but i cannot find the key.
I have tried to remove and reinstall the program but it will not let me remove the file....
please help me...

Few versions ago (I'm on 1.5.0.7) I've started encountering problems with printing from Portable FireFox (PFF). Never had those up to version 1.5.0.4.

Now since yesterday, with no other changes, my PFF is pretty much not functioning.
Other apps, including browsers are running just fine, but PFF has this reloading circle running all the time with page not being reloaded. Not any particular site or page, but many different ones. USB flash drive is working, files are being accessed with no problems.

At this state it is unusable. Closing PFF app and opening again helped few times for few minutes, but is no longer a solution. All the cache, cookies, temp files, and such were dumped.

First of all I must say that I am now totally converted to Portables Apps and I never go anywhere without my USB Key

I have a little problem with FireFTP ...

Is there any reason why fireFTP should not work woth portable firefox ?

I'm quite sure that it did work in the first place but I simply cannot get a connection now ...
A click on the connect button has no effect at all ...

I can't event create accounts !:((

Are there any other FTP extensions that would work ?

Although Firefox 2.0 was released on October 24th, Firefox Portable 2.0 has not yet been released in its final form. We're still finalizing some of the licensing with Mozilla before putting it out for the world to enjoy. You can expect a Firefox Portable 2.0 Pre-Release in the next few days with a slightly modified setup routine and, once that's tested by a few folks, it'll be released to the world.

I have been using Firefox Portable for a while now, and it seems to be much slower lately. I notice the little blue LED on my USB flash drive flickers on and off periodically, as if information is being read from and written to the drive during my surfing sessions. This happens at the weirdest times, like when I'm typing a message in gmail. I don't think this happened as much when I started using Portable Firefox, but I can't be sure. Maybe it started when I updated to version 1.5.0.7?

My flash drive is a OCZ Mini-Kart 2.0 GB. I am using it on a USB 2.0 compatible port.

Any ideas? Could it be the new version? Is there a way I can prevent it from reading and writing to the drive so much?

How do you start Portable FireFox in safe mode?
