Firefox Portable

I have a Windows 10 laptop and an ultrawide (3440x1440) second monitor, and I scale both monitors to 125% for readability. I use PortableApps but don't "port" it - it's simply installed in a folder on my main drive. I have Firefox Quantum 62.0, Portable of course. I normally keep my Firefox window on the second monitor, and it used to happily open wherever it was when I closed it previously. One day that changed. Now, if it was closed while on that second monitor, it will reopen below and to the right of where it was when it closed (roughly 360 pixels down and 160 pixels to the right).

Firefox portable is not saving or caching my bookmarks and or browser history. Any ideas what could be causing this? Everytime I close and open it just opens a fresh Firefox.

Hi everybody, I have a minor but very frustrating issue with my firefox. I have to use this portable USB stick in order to digitally sign documents, and it contains a preinstalled Firefox Portable which is the one I have to use because of certificates. Every time I put the stick in, I shut down the local Firefox installation, then I start the portable one, and here is the problem: EVERY time it crashes, sometimes just the tabs (The "gah - blablabla" error), often the whole application, and sometimes even the crash reporter.

For the last several weeks I am not able to create a valid bookmark in Firefox. Clicking the star icon does nothing. If I open the bookmarks manager and try to manually create a bookmark, it will only create a blank bookmark and will not retain what was entered. If have tried starting with no extensions (no effect), I have also tried renaming the xulstore.json file with no luck as well. Anyone have any information on how to correct this situation?

Mozilla added toolkit.winRegisterApplicationRestart to Firefox 61.0.2, does it break the app portability (either standalone or platform) if we set toolkit.winRegisterApplicationRestart to true?

First time poster, but long-time user of portable apps!

I'm having a strange problem with Firefox. It seems to function correctly on most PCs but there's one that consistently gives me a "profile missing" error message. I click OK and then FF seems to function okay, although it periodically throws up the error.

I've error checked the drive, and tested in different USB ports, but the behaviour persists ... but only on that particular PC.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing the anomaly?

Firefox Portable reads the registry-path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\ and locks for example the Installation of Plugins.

Can i somehow configure the FireFox Portable that he ignores this registry Keys?

Fresh install -- no old Data or profiles
Created a FirefoxPortable.ini file with the following content:

I tried to install a portable version of Firefox 46 because I desperately needed to access the hundreds of web pages I had saved in the MAFF format, and I still had the .xpi file for that extension saved on my old computer (no longer available for download). Yes, I know that I can still access those maff files in the extended release version of Firefox (v. 52.9) but that won't happen until after I've done a clean install of Windows necessitated by a calamitous remote session with the fellow who built my new computer.

I want to have different profiles and have cookies and other data stored independent (and not mixing or exposing to other profiles.)

EASY: just have different copies of the Firefox Portable.
This is OK... but each folder is 300MB.
I have 10 users. Each user needs to have 4 or 5 profiles.
So that could be 300MB x 50 = loads of space needed.

Whereas... I think it would be nice to have JUST the one folder with Firefox Portable + specific folders where I keep data for each profile.

How do I do this?
