Firefox Portable

Today, I unplugged my Titanium SanDisk Cruzer and an error message came up quickly for only a second saying "corrupt file" or something to that effect. When I plugged my drive back in and opened Firefox Portable, all of my bookmarks on my bookmark toolbar had vanished and there is nothing in the folder either. The last time I backed up was in Sept. Is there anyway to recover these files and what do you think happened?

I can't explain the source of this problem, or recover from it.
Running 2.0.0.16 everything worked as I wanted it: as sites are visited, the directory Data/profile/Cache grows and grows. I upgraded to 2.0.0.18, set everything under Tools -> Options as for 16 but, try as I might, I can't get the Cache to grow. I have "Always clear my private data when I close Firefox" unchecked, and "Use up to 3072 MB of space for the cache" (not 0). But the directory remains stubbornly sparse.

I have not found any topic relating also let me ask the question: is it possible to change the location of the "profile" folder of FireFoxPortable (cl. 3.0.4) and if so how?

i think the firfox is not working in the pen drive . if you formate every time the software was installed......... with the same software...... the portable education of this type of software or not in use popularly but the future is waiting see what happed next

Im new here, after comming upon this site I decided to download and install Firefox Portable 3.0.4 directly onto my USB U3 drive since U3 only has a outdated version of FF and well after installing I came upon the problem I cannot download any ad-ons for firefox the list includes

Finjan Secure Browising
WOT (web of trust)
NoScript
Ad-block pluss
and ForeCast Fox

and alot of others, is there any workaround for this? I work alot off of my flash drive and am really hoping to get these ad-ons to work soon.

1. After attaching my USB drive to my main system I received a notice that an update was available for Firefox but the update would not install—how do I get that update?

2. Is it possible to install add-ons to Portable Firefox? When I tried (several times) to add Download Helper I got only error messages.

I'm currently using same portable Firefox copy on 3 three different PC's and each one has it's own resolution settings so each time I move from one computer to another I have to adjust every website manually.

Now Firefox 3 has 2 types of zoom: full-zoom (including pictures) and test-only zoom. As I understand these two are independent. So the best solution for me is to use full-zoom to adjust computer-specific zoom level and to use test-zoom to adjust test size for some sites (I do it frequently).
