Firefox Portable

A while back I noticed the ESR App\Firefox folder is empty (rightly so) and the not-ESR is still fully populated.

While I never cared about the App\Firefox folder and its now 205 files worth 423 MB since backing up my live D:\PORTABLES\FirefoxPortable folder from a desktop Win10 500 GB M.2 SSD goes swiftly to my Ethernet gigabit LAN NAS (nothing Wi-Fi). But I recently began using iDrive and even though I have Quantum Fiber 200 mbps up, I'd like to eliminate the overhead of backing up that directory from the NAS to the cloud.

This time I can turn it off with JSwitcher add-on, but even the add-on button is now frequently missing from the toolbar on many pages. Switching it off and on again makes it reappear, but it's happening too frequently now and is very annoying...

Most important, many links on some pages would not open, including Check for Updates on add-ons page!

Don't know if it's related, but screenshot is often non-functioning too and not only on excluded pages. Someone posted about this problem and found a solution by switching it off/on in about:config - any way to fix it permanently?

Some users open a firefox portable to access a website. I would like them not to be able to save their password in firefox.
I've looked at the business rule generator but I can't find anything about this.
Do you have a solution?

For the last two or three updates, I have not been able to "Cut" bookmarks from the Library/Downloads popup window. The Cut option is grayed out. After the update before today's, I was able to cut again (no longer grayed out), so it was working yesterday but then this morning before today's update it stopped working.

Maybe this is only the portable version that it is not working on, but I don't want to install the desktop version to find out.

i'm currently using FirefoxPortable ESR :102.1.0 customized for my application.
This version of Firefox uses the new print preview user interface which has been introduced in version 86.
In order to switch to the classic System Print Preview dialog box , i have added this preference user_pref("print.prefer_system_dialog", true).
However a problem has occured during the print procedure following these steps:
Click on print
Click on Microsoft Print to PDF
Click on PRINT
then Click on Cancel

I've been using Firefox Portable for years and it's been working great. But v111 and v112 both crash on startup. The splash screen shows but Firefox doesn't start.

This might be a difficult matter to agree on, but a lot of people prefer using portable apps on their PCs as local apps. My reason is that it gives me understanding that everything is being saved in one place and not in AppData or elsewhere.

- Install Portable Firefox
- Customize it with stuff
- Update using original Portable installer
- Discover that your customizations were wiped

The problem is, from what I understand, that the installer will wipe the App\Firefox and App\Firefox64 folders. But a lot of customizations rely on additional files located in these folders.

Right now, to update Portable Firefox, I resort to installing a new version into a fresh folder, then copying its contents over my original installation. That way my customizations are preserved.
