portable language package?

Submitted by newbird on June 22, 2006 - 10:04am

Are there portable language packages for portable firefox? From time to time I need to use the computers that I don't have enough authority for it. But there is no appropriate language pack installed on those computers. The result is that some webpages with foreign languages cannot be displayed correctly. I am wondering if there are portable language packages available for portable firefox.

Extensions will not install

Submitted by jokaman83 on June 21, 2006 - 6:31pm

I've read a few different posts about this problem, but the ones I've seen just tell you to restart firefox through Taskmanager. Whenever I close portable firefox, and make sure that it's not running in Tskmngr, it STILL will not recognized that it has been restarted. Even when I unplug my flash drive and replug it in, it will not install my extensions. Does anyone know what I need to do? Reinstall PFF? Or is it a glitch?

XUL cache

Hello,

Even though I set nglayout.debug.disable_xul_cache to true in about:config, I still don't see XUL changes without restarting PFF. Is there something in PFF besides this setting which is forcing XUL to be cached?

I posted a question about this here.

Thanks,

I keep on getting this error using portable firefox, (msvcrt.dll has caused an error, will not close) It happens when I check me e-mail at yahoo.com, and some other random websites at random times. What should/can I do?
I run no themes, and fasterfox, and mediaplayerconnectivity.

Multiple PFF

Hi Guys,

I was just wondering if it is possible to have two installations of PFF on the one thumb drive with various different theme's & extensions etc. The reason I ask is that I have PFF on my thumb drive and I use one window for work stuff and another for personal stuff. The problem is that session saver makes a meal out of the session settings for each so what I wanted to do was have one seperate PFF for work with all the extensions etc that I need and then another seperate PFF for personal use both independent of each other and with session saver remembering correctly for each of them. Is this possible?

What kind of files would be written into flashdriver when using ff?

I've already disabled the session function. However, there's something still keep writing in my flash driver when I open new tab. My flash driver light shines and firefox stops for some time. Did I forget something? Can anyone tell me what kind of files would be written into the flash driver?

I found one posible is flash file(swf). When I load a page containing a flash, light shines and FF stops.
