Firefox Portable

If Firefox Nightly Portable crashes, then when it restarts, it loads the non-portable Firefox profile instead of it's own

I use Firefox 27.0.1 stable (non-portable) as my everyday browser in windows 8.1 x64.

I have also installed
FirefoxPortableNightly_30.0_Alpha_1_Pre_English_online.paf

All works ok, but, if Nightly Portable crashes
and you press "Restart Firefox" in the Mozilla Crash Reporter window
(the crash report is submitted before it restarts)
then, when it restarts, it loads the profile of my Firefox 27, instead of the Nightly Portable one!

Please fix this issue.

Improve installer's internal checks or add "Continue anyway" button

Currently, it's impossible to install FirefoxPortable while an instance of FirefoxPortable is already running, due to this alert:

Please close all instances of Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition and then click OK. The portable app can not be upgraded while it is running.

Firefox Portable reads the registry and uses settings from local install of Firefox.

Is there any way to prevent FirefoxPoratable from reading the registry? I have tried the ini file and all its settings with no luck. I have also tried profiles without success. I need to run Firefox with an old version of Java for internal use and leave the local copy set to the latest version. No matter how I configure either the settings from one change the other. And the registry is always read and the plugins registered there are used by both and across all profiles.

Install Shockwave Plugin for Mozilla Firefox Portable

Hello everyone,

I have some Problems installing the Shockwave Plugin for Mozilla Firefox Portable on my pendrive.

I have read the instructions on your Page:

https://portableapps.com/support/firefox_portable#plugins

But the Problem is that the Shockwave installation routine doesnt let me direct the installation. It just installs Shockwave to the harddrive so i cant direct it to the pendrive.
