Thunderbird Portable

I saw Thunderbird 2.0 came out yesterday. Does anyone know what the lag time is till the portable version might be out?

Recently upgrading from 1.5 to 2.0 I noticed the following bug (?)

Reinstalling on the USB-Stick didn't help.

Anybody any idea?

The generated ThunderbirdPortable.exe doesn't pharse any INI setting into the "$SECONDARYLAUNCH" variable, this means it isn't possible to have that exe call "StartProgramAndExit:" meaning ThunderbirdPortable.exe stays open until Thunderbird itself is closed always.

Hi, it is normal that Thunderbird take time to make the common works??

I mean sometimes when im writing a letter take time to appear the letters or to move between windows ETC, its possible to make this faster or this works like this because its portable???

I apologize if this question has been asked before, i only had time to skim the first few pages, and i didn't see it.

I can't send email using TB 1.5 portable although the same settings work just fine in Outlook i.e. pop 110 smtp 587 SSL.

I reinstalled TB but that did not help.

I am using the Premium Yahoo email so this is not a webmail issue.

I called Yahoo support and they were great. We set up Outlook and send and receive worked just fine. On the same machine moments later I reinstalled TB 1.5 portable and it cannot send email.

Has anybody run into this problem and has a solution?

Unable to install british_english_dictionary-1.19-fx+zm+tb.xpi into TBP 2.0 RC1
Error Message:- Incompatible Extension. British English Dictionary 1.19 could not be installed because it is not compatible with Thunderbird 2.0.0.0. (British English Dictionary 1.19 will only work with Thunderbird versions from 2.0a1 to 2.0b1)

The Australian Dictionary english_australian_dictionary-0.2-fx+zm+tb.xpi installs okay.

This has happened to me before, but I figured it wasn't anything to bother with too much since I had a backup from a couple days before, but this time it's bad. Also I figure it's a bad problem since it happened again so quickly (about 7 weeks).

I am a IT professional from Germany and using Portable Thunderbird on my 2nd hard disk drive, because I am testing software for my company and have to restore my complete system partition from time to time. (I work with the Paragon Software btw. but thats not the point )
I have got about 8 standard mail accounts and tried many times to add new accounts to Thunderbird Portable.

hopefully this is a dumb question for you - but I don't have an answer to it. When I use the wonderful TB Portable, I miss a functionality, to click on the green arrow icon on a received mail (that indicates that I have replied to it) and to JUMP DIRECTLY to this reply message...
I believe such option is available in Outlook, maybe in TB Portable, too?
Or is there an extension that could fix my needs?
