Receiving update notification / Disable update feature

I have just launched Thunderbird and can see this: https://i.imgur.com/2lqeMQl.png.
In settings I have it switched to: "Check for updates, but let me choose whether to install them".
Shouldn't update feature be totally disabled for portable application? I suspect an inexperienced user may launch auto-updates which in result will ruin portability of app.

Folder pane broken after update

The folder pane is broken after upgrading from TB 91.7.0 to TB 91.8.0.

The folder pane is still broken after fresh installing TB 91.8.0.

digi signature QCA install

Hello,
please for the exact answer where exactly you need to place these signature certificates (personal QCA+QC CA) in the portable app TB, so the app would also work on a foreign PC when connecting a USB drive, or even through a cloud e.g. terabox.com...? https://www.postsignum.cz/files/navody/thunderbird/index.html
In the classic app TB, we had them automatically installed in the windows PC repository.

MIGRATION email clients to the portable Thunderbird application - please help!

As I please quickly, simply import all thunderbird content (all different accounts, data) into thunderbird portableapps as well as mail (originally stored or also from backup archive files) from other e-mail clients in OS windows 8.1pro 64bit...? I have the complete stored (cca 53GB) contents of directories, Thunderbird files in a portable USB HDD. Unfortunately, I don't get to the original Thunderbird profile, which was in the laptop because it's destroyed, so there was no backup total file created in that old app profile, nor did individual emails be stored in the files.

Can't View Thunderbird Account Settings

Afternoon...

I am running T'Bird 68.xx (I think - I don't want to view "About" because I don't want to upgrade)

This is my dilemma...I would like to change my server settings to be prepared for the May 30th deadline for OAuth2 authentication, but I can't view account settings on any of my 3 Gmail accounts.

All I can view is a small dialogue box with the name of the account (my email address) and "account actions", nothing else.

I fear that if I can't get to the full menu of settings, I will loose everything come May 30th.
