'Check for new messages every X minutes' not persistent

Submitted by Frank1 on December 3, 2008 - 3:46pm

Setting the 'Check for new messages every X minutes' on in the Server Settings stays set while TBP is running. But, when TBP is closed and relaunched this setting is turned off.

I have two copies of TBP, my wife's copy behaves the same way.
I really need this feature, can please someone help?
Thanks

scrollbar missing for checking whole e-mail-header

Submitted by rafi on November 26, 2008 - 1:42pm

When i want to check the whole Email-Header View->Header->All (Ansicht->Kopfzeilen->Alle)
I miss a scrollbar there to see the whole header. In the normal body of a message it appears normally, but in the header part its not there, nor in the message showed in the frame nor in the message displayed in a popup-window. i cannot read all, because eben pgdown or cursor keys dont help.

i dont know if i make some mistake, its a general bug in 2.0.0.18 or in the portable apps build.

thanks for helping

ps:
here i upload some screenshot for better understanding

Global Inbox Reversal

Submitted by crusader27529 on November 26, 2008 - 1:33pm

I installed 1 account with global inbox enabled (didn't know any better), plus several correctly without it selected.

The account has been in use for some time, and I'd really like to reverse the configuration to use a separate inbox.

I tried to create a new account to get a folder where I could at least copy the files, but it tells me there is a duplicate account already setup. Even if I was able to create an account & copy the files and be able to use them, how do I get rid of the global inbox stuff??

after installing Thunderbird Portable i've set it to be the default email client for my OS and also use the MinimizeToTray addon i can see the incoming mails all the time in my tray... and normally when TB is minimized to tray and i hit and email address in Opera or IE the write new mail pop-up window shows up and the sender is my default user profile... so far so good...

What is the MD5 hash for GPG for Thunderbird Portable 1.4.9?

Submitted by crux on November 25, 2008 - 8:36am

I apologize if this should go in the Other Apps Support forum.

The one I downloaded had an MD5 hash of: 31a1265e47e8737a1f5a1b8247634c88

This is the one I downloaded:

https://downloads.sourceforge.net/portableapps/GPG_for_Thunderbird_Porta...
GPG for Thunderbird Portable (2008-07-25 20:19)
GPG_for_Thunderbird_Portable_1.4.9.paf.exe 1850552

It would be a bad idea to use GPG without at least some verification.
