Miranda IM Portable 0.5.1 Released

Miranda IM logoMiranda IM Portable version 0.5.1 has been released. For the unfamiliar, Miranda IM Portable is the popular Miranda IM multi-network instant messaging client packaged with a PortableApps.com Launcher as a portable app, so you can take your buddy lists with you and chat from any PC. This new release updates the included Miranda IM and adds a fix for a registry entry that Miranda leaves behind. It is available for immediate download from the Miranda IM Portable homepage.

FileZilla Portable 2.2.27 Released

FileZilla logoFileZilla Portable version 2.2.27 has been released as a multilingual package. For the unfamiliar, FileZilla Portable is the handy FileZilla FTP client packaged with a PortableApps.com Launcher as a portable app, so you can take your FTP client and site list with you. This new release updates the included FileZilla package to include the latest release (with bugfixes) and fixes two issues with the launcher involving unicode command line parameters and paths under older versions of Windows. The new release is available for immediate download from the FileZilla Portable homepage.

Firefox logoMozilla Firefox - Portable Edition (Firefox Portable among friends) 2.0 Beta 2 has been released. This is a package of the latest Beta of Firefox 2.0 and is a great way to test out the upcoming features of Firefox 2.0 without disrupting your local installation of Firefox (as a portable app, you can run it from anywhere you like, even your desktop). Get it from the Firefox Portable 2.0 Beta 2 page. Of course, if you're not the beta-testing type, you can always stick with standard release.
