Description

RSS Guard is a fast, lightweight, and customizable feed reader designed for modern users. Beyond standard feeds, RSS Guard integrates seamlessly with many popular online feed services, such as: Feedly, Gmail, Google Reader API services (Bazqux, FreshRSS, Inoreader, Miniflux, Reedah, The Old Reader, and others), Nextcloud News, and Tiny Tiny RSS. RSS Guard is also a capable podcast player. It can play both audio and video directly using its built-in mpv-based (or alternatively ffmpeg-based) media player with no external applications required. RSS Guard includes native support for the Gemini protocol, allowing it to fetch and display feeds securely over Gemini connections.

App Notes

Importing 4.x Databases - RSS Guard 4.x databases are not compatible with RSS Guard 5.x and the app does not import them automatically. The portable launcher will give you instructions on how to to the import. Your older RSS Guard 4.x database and settings will remain in the Data\data4 directory after the upgrade and closing the app. If you accidentally start a different set of feeds and want to import your database, you can delete the Data\data5 directory with the app closed and it will reset RSS Guard 5's settings and offer to import again without affecting your 4.x data.
