OpenOffice Portable

Upgraded to the latest OO Portable and now, though OO will open, all the menus are missing and garbled. I'd attached a screen shot but haven't found the trick to doing this.

To resolve I tried an additional download and upgrade. No joy so I tried manually removing the old and installing fresh. Still no luck.

Ideas?

I have installed OO on Desktop, then I copy it to another folder before run it. After that I tried to run OO from both directories: from desktop started, from the other dir didn't start. Any idea?

I tried to detect and I found that in "App\openoffice\program\bootstrap.ini" the string UserInstallation is changed (now is an absolute path), can it be the cause?

I don't see how I could use the extra icon sets and I would appreciate some guidance on this.

I don't really have the space.

It is a portable suite and should run on any machine. Why would the ini be relevant?

Can it be configured manually?

Hello, you should make a customizable installer so that you can choose which components of OpenOffice you want to install. For example, all I want is Writer, Calc, and Impress. I don't want draw, math and especially base. If you can't do this, at least tell me how to remove the others ones completely, not just the icon, I want to save space.

Is it possible to run F5 in window mode instead of fullscreen.

I wonder if it is possible to make OpenOffice communicate in a Slavic language that uses Cyrilic alphabet. I've found no LNG files in OpenOffice directory.
Do they exist? If so where can I find them?

As OOo 3.0 is full of bugs which seem to be resolved in 3.0.1 it is really urgent to replace 3.0 with 3.0.2

I was wondering, is there any possibility to do a manual upgrade to the newest version of OpenOffice.org?
For example to download a copy of 3.0.1 and just replace the "OpenOffice"-folder in the PortableApps-version with the new one?

As with version 3 I encountered a very long delay between the official version and the portable ones. So I'd like to do a workaround in between.

However the above mentioned method does not work.
Anyone knows how to do it or is the only possibility just to wait till the official version comes out?
