When trying to upgrade chrome, I get the infamous "The downloaded copy of Google Chrome is not valid and cannot be installed [...]"

I have Chrome 38.0.2125.101. It seems that Chrome now has flash integrated in Chrome so there's no separate addon to install for Flash. It seems the only way to update Flash is to update Chrome which I don't want to do.

Is there a way to update Flash in Chrome without updating Chrome? I'd like to have Flash as an addon like Firefox has and NOT integrated.

I want to be able to launch a PortableApp at startup, on a computer where I do not have administrator privileges, without placing a shortcut in my /Start Menu/Programs/Startup folder.

I see that Lightscreen is already able to pull off this trick, but I cannot figure out how it does it. I see that at Lightscreen's config.ini file includes a startup=true/false line, but how does Windows know to look there at startup?

Does anybody out there know the trick Lightscreen uses, and if there's a way to replicate the method with other apps?

I'm having a problem using the color management system in Inkscape Portable.

I am able to set my color profiles in the Preferences and the Document Preferences, but then Inkscape Portable crashes when I try to use the CMS tab in the Fill & Stroke dialog box.

Has anybody else had this problem and/or found a fix?

From briefly reading around . . . it looks like in the portable version of Notepad++:

1.) it does not have an auto-updater, for security purposes - and there is no place to click to update it under the question mark

2.) if you update it manually, you lose all of your plugins - and all settings go back to default

. . . is this correct?

Couldn't find anywhere to report bugs for this portable app. So let me just mention it here. Feel free to point me in a better direction for bugs on this app or just move it to where is is more suited if you are an admin.

I noticed that every time I logout of windows (7 - 64b) and thus let windows close Qbittorrent Portable (QBP), the next time I log in and start Qbittorrent Portable again (shortcut is in the startup dir) it tells me that it wasn't closed properly and that I should restart it manually.
