Before I explain my issue, I'd like to thank everyone who has put anytime into this project; it has saved me so much time.

Anyway, I use Google Chrome Portable at my school and I have it saved to my network drive. I'd like to be able to sync this to my computer flawlessly, just as it does when I install it normally. It syncs normally up to a certain point, when I switch computers. The credentials are not being saved and when I resync, all of my deleted apps and extensions are re-added.

I was trying out the new Zaz game and found some rather serious glitches. I am on a Win XP SP2 machine.

1. the vast majority (but not all) of text in the game was missing. All I could see was irregularly shaped grey boxes. needless to say this made it hard to play.

2. The close button in the upper right of the window was not functioning. It did not seem to matter at what point in the game I tried it, it simply did not work.

Anyone know where I can find the plugins directory in Opera 11 portable please?

In the conventional Opera installation package it's here (on my setup): C:\Program Files (x86)\Opera\program\plugins but I can't find any such directory anywhere in the portable version.

Flash and Java work fine without any plugins but I need to install the Windows Media plugin as without it I can't get stuff to play in Opera portable.

Didn't find a straight forward answer to this question anywhere.

How do I encrypt the USB drive on which I've installed PortableApps.com platform with FreeOTFE? Do I just do a regular drive encryption using FreeOTFE?

The tagline says that the game is an "embire-building strategy game".

-- Helpfile is wrong, there are no such settings for the display-size etc
-- when an object is selected, the labels in the upper-left are not readable due to a transversion-glitch with the font (colouring + size), whereas all other monochrome text-lables (for equator, azi etc) are readable

I was trying to update on a Windows Vista (Admin) laptop via lightening fast Wifi and I get [ Send Request ] errors.

It does work fine on XP+ but with a land connection (what's the word?).

That was the first time I tried updating via wifi, so I don't know if it is only that connection or all wifi connections.

It was sorta a one-time thing, so I don't think I'll be able to use that same laptop+internet connection again.

I'm trying to run Google Chrome Portable on a restricted W$ PC and I am not allowed to change Portable Chrome proxy settings (restricted by administrator). Portable but not usable ???

Any tip ?

This seems like a great piece of software and I was really looking forward to trying it out. I downloaded it, scanned it for viruses and did an md5 verification and everything is fine. However, upon installantion and subsequently trying to run the program, all I'm able to see is the splash screen. The program never actually runs nor does it show up in the task manager.

Anyone else experiencing this? I'm running XP Home SP3. (This is the exact same problem that has always plagued me with Atomic Tanks Portable as well.)
