The new Skype 5 is a hideous beast with one of the most awkward GUIs i have come across.

How can i get the portable version of 4 again?

hello, I'm a longtime user of freemind portable. I just downloaded the relatively new java portable and launcher. Can anyone tell me how to use them together?

The launcher can't launch freemind.exe

It did launch the jar, but this instance didn't have my settings. \PortableApps\FreemindPortable\App\Freemind\lib\freemind.jar

Is there another option?

Rocks and Diamonds leaves some files when run from a Win XPSP3 admin account:

I noticed that Winmerge has the ability to have an 7zip plugin support. (See Winmerge site for details)

Would it not be a nice idea to have the 7zip plugin(s) included by default in the winmerge portable application?

If someone can tell me exactly which files to replace, I will install GnuCash into a VM (Virtual Machine) and copy the files over to update my GnuCash Portable installation.

I'd like to modify skypeportable launcher to implement support for alternate logon (two skype instances active at the same time on two different skype accounts), but can't find the launcher sources in the package.
Are the sources available somewhere?

After setting a language other than English in Spybot and closing and reopening, Spybot returns to English. I think this is due to some bugs in the language switching in appinfo.ini but have not analyzed it fully myself yet.

After I create a backup of the registry with spybot 1.6.2, there`re 2 problems:
1.) If I click on the Recovery button, I don`t see the backup of the registry in the interface of the program.
2.) This backup are stored at my hard disk in the path "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy".
Should I change some settings in the program to get a complete portable app?

RedNotebook leaves some (non personal I think) files behind. It's a folder named "webkit" inside my Docs and settings/username folder (see regshot excerpt below).

Besides that, an empty gtk-2.0 folder is left behind in %APPDATA% if it exists when I launch the app. It gets properly deleted if it doesnt exist and the app created it during run. I think its because the launcher ini should be "1=%AppData%\gtk-2.0" instead of "%AppData%\gtk-2.0".
