Jooleem mute/unmute

Submitted by rick on March 24, 2008 - 10:19am

The mute/unmute button for Jooleem is counter-intuitive. I would normally think the the speaker icon (without the cross-out line) would indicate that the speaker is on and when the cross-out line is present that the speaker is off. The program reacts just the opposite. This is also contrary to the Windows mute/unmute icon.

No big deal, really, but if it can be changed in a later release, it would be nice.

winMd5Sum not Win9x compatible?

Submitted by xuesheng on March 21, 2008 - 3:47pm

winMd5Sum's "Download Details" says "System Requirements: Windows 95/98/Me/2000/XP/Vista" but on my Win98SE system the program will not run.

I installed winMd5Sum on my USB drive but program exits as soon as I try to start it on my Win98SE system - nothing appears.

If I plug my USB drive into my Vista PC the program works OK.

I'm currently using Launchy (The Firefox Add-on) and it just stoped detecting Thunderbird Portable and I don't understand why. It detected everything else. :o I wrote the XML file correctly:Look on Google Docs, I couldn't get it to display properly here. It kept deleting the tags.

Installing Java portablizer

Submitted by fr1998 on March 20, 2008 - 6:14pm

I am trying to install Java portablizer. It does not seem to work.
I download the .paf file, install it with the PApps menu, and let it run. Once the process gets to 0 seconds remaining the copy window seems to block, but the install window says that it has finished. There is a new Java Portablizer folder in the PortableApps folder, but no Common Files folder. Any idea where I slipped up?

Task coach should use relative paths

Submitted by limitedmage on March 15, 2008 - 11:12pm

I've recently been using Task Coach Portable. It's an awesome program, very powerful, but it is missing a key feature all portable apps should have: relative paths. Every time the programs starts, it opens the file it was last working on. I keep this file, tasks.tsk, in the \Documents folder of my portable drive. However, every time I change workstations, the drive letter of the device changes and Task Coach cannot open it, so I have to open it manually, which is a big time consumer. Any chances this could be fixed?
