Help with the New Skype

Submitted by Neyney on December 23, 2014 - 7:05am

So, Hello, to make the story short, let just say that my "Windows Installer Package" have problems, so I couldn't install the Skype Updates from the original website[had Skype version 5 - The old version when Ebay owned it]. so I found this website and started using Skype Portable - which didn't need any installation using the Windows Installer Service, I've installed version 6.06 at the time.

Marble Portable will not download regions

Submitted by rgp375 on December 21, 2014 - 12:11pm

The current version of Marble Portable (1.9.1) does not download map regions as required.

The standard non portable version on Windows works as intended, and will automatically download areas as necessary in Open Street Maps and you can also download a region via the File menu when Open Street Maps is selected.

For some reason the portable one isn't doing that.

Terminal Vim in gVimPortable

Submitted by jadaml on December 20, 2014 - 7:20pm

I've installed gVim and ConEmu's PAF version (and Take Command). I would like to start vim.exe with the portable environment from ConEmu, however, when I run vim, it will look in my local home folder for vim files which unfortunately I also happen to have them.

I can pass parameters to gvim through gVimPortable.exe, but there is only a -g parameter, which starts in GUI mode.

I tried to search for a solution on the matter, however it wasn't very successful.

Teamviewer lost license after upgrade

Submitted by tboege on December 19, 2014 - 2:56am

I have bougth a license for Teamviewer and added it to:
\PortableApps\TeamViewerPortable\Data\settings\teamviewer.ini

But every time I upgrade Teamviewer (using PortableApps's updater), my license has been removed, and I have to add it again.

Is it possible to configure the system, so that the license does not disappear, or should I hope for some change in the code?

Hi, when I had PortableApps installed on my HDD all paths was stored and was no problem. Now when I changed location to Pen Drive uTorrent is in Portable Mode and download paths are not stored. I managed how to resume download after turning off uTorrent but when I set default download paths other than on Pendrive it disappears after turning off uTorrent.
I'm using PortableApps on PC's with same configuration of HDD's and thats why I would like to set default download paths.
Is it possible when uTorrent is on PenDrive??
