Chrome Passwords Recovery Tool

Submitted by drakedrake on October 28, 2014 - 4:28pm

Hello everyone!
As a project on my studies I want to create an application to recover passwords saved in Chrome portable using portable passwords storage. I encountered a problem:

I managed to open SQLite DB and read data stored in it. I tried to use DecryptPassword function as defined in "dllmain" file in given sources. But every time I use it I have different results and of course, never the right one.

KiTTY Crashing On Multiple Sessions

Hi,

I'm using KiTTY v0.63.1.4 on Windows 7 64bit and whenever I try to launch a second/subsequent session (using either the "duplicate" functionality or from the main window) the second/new instance crashes.

I didn't have this problem with the previous version. I actually confirmed that 0.63.1.3 is working correctly. I don't know if this is a portable apps problem or a base application problem.

Is XAMPP Lite obsolete?

Submitted by Despised on October 27, 2014 - 5:03am

There's no XAMPP Lite v 1.8.3

Hi,
At the XAMPP 1.8.3 download page there is no XAMPP Lite. Instead there's XAMPP Portable, which works with or without PortableApps platform. So I think that the download links at the PortableApps.com's page for XAMPP needs updating.

TweetDeck and Microsoft .NET Framework

Every time I close the PA TweetDeck application, my computer prompts me to install .NET Framework 3.5. The application loads and runs without any problems. I use the cancel button and ignore it. Any idea why this happens?

OS: Windows 8.1
TweetDeck: 3.9.11-19ea8a2 (3.3.7.0-win)

KChmViewer portable

Do not use version 7.1

I just downloaded the KChmviewer 7.1 portable and noticed that the program ignores several books in the .chm files I opened.

I've been able to open the ignored .chm files in other .chm viewers, including the built-in .chm viewer which Windows 7 and XP both contain and the books are displayed just fine, which leads me to assume the fault lies in the KChmViewer.

Notepad++ Python Script Plugin?

I am trying to get this plugin to work with my portable installation of Notepad++ but I have no idea how to use it and the SourceForge page did not help. Can someone help me with this?

EDIT:What I really need to know is if the plugin includes a compiler/interpreter and how to use the python console. Specifically, whenever I enter a command in the Python Console (print "hello") it prints what I typed, not just Hello.
