How do you upload portable apps to your ipod and what folder?
I read that PA menu does not support transparent images (except for icons apparently) so the personal image cannot be GIF or PNG.
Has the issue been resolved yet?
If not, please check out http://pngdelphi.sourceforge.net/
A component for Delphi to use PNG images
Hopefully the new PAM (and the MOD's) will be able to offer support for transparent images. Looks much better, doesn't it?
If for some reason PNG is not wanted, maybe an ICO will do just fine
Hi all,
This is probably a silly question but is there any reason why I should'nt use Portable Apps on my laptop instead of using the full versions of the software ?
I ask because due to finances I could only afford a "Special Offer" laptop and consequently have a 40gb HD.
Ok, it's not that small but I do a lot of video etc, work and it soon gets clogged up so every saving of space I can make is important.
Thanks for a great product !
Regards,
Jon
This would ensure 2 things you can download portable apps and at the same time have an online account with all the applications hosted there so that you can manipulate all the files on your computer or on your flash drive using Online Apps version,no need to give space to store files, music, video and other stuff on the online version and only host the apps as online apps,is it possible...if so then in future the network become the computer and how about and I don't know this hosting portableapps as as online version on facebook using Facebook Platform so that maximum number of people can get
Using bootitng I moved the data partition that my portable apps are on, and the two installs of Win XP, to different positions on the hard drive (to make room to enlarge another partition). Now the apps will start ok from one of the XPs but not the other. They used to start fine from both. If I copy them to a 4th partition, they will run ok from it. I'd like to keep using the original one -- is there some way to fix this?
As most of you know, I've been stuck in jury duty this week. Unfortunately, I've been selected for the jury in a criminal case. It's full time every day about an hour from me and expected to last 1 to 2 weeks.
So, I'll be a bit out of the loop workwise. But, I'd still like to get an app a day out next week. I'll be working every night on PortableApps.com stuff while doing jury duty. I think as long as we have some of our experienced forum members and developers helping to vet the apps currently posted as development tests, we can do it.
GetleftToGo is a free program to download complete web sites.
You can download it at:
http://personal1.iddeo.es/andresgarci/getleft/english/download.html
There you will also find non-portable versions for Windows, Mac and Linux.
Hey guys, just wanted to share with you that we finally broke into the SourceForge.net Top 5 Most Downloaded projects. This is from the most downloaded by week stat and it means we show up right on the homepage right in the Statistics box's Most Downloaded section.
Hi Guys,
I have 3 questions for you guys and the Portableapps community.
Say I want to create my own portableApp of my home cooked MFC application connecting to MySql db (for example...), do you guys have a devtoolkit that I can use to build that or how does it really work?
Hi all!
First of all I want to thank to all beta testing staff for helping me to release version 3.0 of PNotes!
Today, while surfing on sites where PNotes is published, I've happened to find out its clone from previous version named NotesRobot, which is offered for sell at _http://www.railfox.com by $20. The guys simply got my source code and recompiled it without changes under different name. Even the help file stayed the same. The only difference is that clicking on "Show License" on About dialog does not bring up the GPL file.
