John, is there any chance you could integrate something like this into the site? It would be really handy...

I know this is going to read like FUD, but I'm a huge PortableApps fan and was a devoted user until recently. My hope is that someone will know something about what happened with my install so that I can get back to using portable apps again.

I'm a library school graduate student. Between my internship, the computer lab at school, classroom machines, and my home machine, I regularly use between 4 and 7 different computers a week, almost all of them XP. PortableApps has saved me dozens hours in just a few months and made me significantly more efficient than I could have been without it.

Possibly add a Rename feature, security so that no one can use the menu without entering a password and also different Themes to change its look.

i search the original apps installer from John (i think its an NSIS thing)and cant find that. search since 30 minutes. please help me. i will package my themes in an installer.

Pidgin is a cross platform messenger, originally from the linux/gtk world. So it doesn`t use windows system features like registry. It`s very similar to Gaim. Also it`s very easy to be made portable, there are instructions on the pidgin website.

But it`s still not hosted on portableapps.com, less important things got added before.

So what`s wrong with pidgin?

You see i have to work with a dead rubbish version of IE6n Which is slower than hell. Now i wouldnt mind if someone could tell me or post how to run any of these in an exe banned enviroment. I've actually taled to the tech guys at my school but they screamed at me not to look at there moniters when i was looking at the flashylight server box behind them and told me no chance.

Are the img tags turned off in the forums? Or am I just not using the right code?

Now, I know this was discussed a bit when the original Moderators and Moderation System of these forums was being discussed, but I have a question.

Hello for few reasons I would like to use portableapps without showing startup picture.
Please somebody tell me how to do that.
