Mnemosyne is portable

Submitted by LinuxPunkkeri on June 11, 2007 - 10:49am

I don't know if this is the right forum for this, but anyway:

So it seems that Mnemosyne can be made portable easily.
There was a topic on Mnemosyne a while back and I told that making Mnemosyne portable would need modifying the source code. But I had missed the part of the Python manual that says:
On Windows, only "~" is supported; it is replaced by the environment variable HOME or by a combination of HOMEDRIVE and HOMEPATH.

Burning Sand Game

Burning Sand is a C++ program that derived from the classic Falling Sand game - it was originally written in Java and distributed across the web. This version can be hosted off a flash drive.

Cryptable Apps TrueCrypt/PortableApps Solution adds Encryption and AutoRun to PortableApps

Submitted by maggotb0y on June 8, 2007 - 4:27pm

CryptableApps is an attempt to overcome some of the shortcomings of the PortableApps platform.  While PortableApps generally kicks ass, there are two issues that people are always asking about on the forum:

  • password protection of the drive
  • automatically launching applications from the PortableApps menu on insertion
